You are such a Homer to not that there is still chance for Line to stay in Houston next season.

Nobody is freaking out over missing any of the guys you listed. Lol. Crazy talk.

They're freaking out, because we have a chance to have the best team in the league if we add Melo. If it doesn't happen, we're still in great shape. But, nonetheless, Melo is a prize FA. It stings when you miss out after having a chance.

Role players will always be there for Morey. Should be the last thing we doubt.

Lin doesn't belong on an NBA team, much less a contender.

We instantly get better upon his departure.

We need all round players, who play on both ends of the floor.

What I want to know is... is Morey going to sign any veteran role players? If this is a "win-now" team, then why have young players with potential in the rotation? It's like he is building for the future... but the future is now. All the other playoff teams are filling out their roster with skilled veterans. Hopefully some moves are made before there's only crappy players left to sign...

    Ok some things here:

    1) Do you freak out when you miss the bus? Of course not, a new one will come in 15 mins. It is the same thing with the players you mentioned, Sefalosha, Hawes and Deng (at his price tag anyway) are forgettable players and you will see similar ones available next year or even as soon as mid season. It makes zero sense to sign these guys now and miss out on a max FA.

    2) Will you stop with the Spurs fairytale angle already, it is getting old. Why is Chris Bosh and Wade considered stars but Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker are considered "good players"? IIRC Tim Duncan is only seen as the GOAT PF, yet he's merely a good player while Chris Bosh who had 6 rebs and 0 pts the last finals is a star? Tony Parker is easily a top 3 PG in his primeand has several Finals MVPs and yet he's a good player while Dwade who is clearly suffering from Roids overuse is still a star? I mean sign me up bro, where are all these good players who can go 1-on-1 with Lebron James?

    3) You can only sign MLE players if you are over the cap, that's why it is called a MID LEVEL EXCEPTION. The window to sign MLE players won't open until we sign a star, ie a max player.

We need a coach for that. Like jvg once said, players need to be taught to become two way players.

Not freaking out, just realizing that not many players look at Houston as a stable contender with a great locker room, leadership, a family type organisation and just stuck with a coach who imo would not take me (if I were Bosh, Melo or even Deng, Thabo etc.) to the next level or give me consistent minutes as a veteran.
