Agreed. I think we have to make the best offer to Minnesota to get Love, especially since the odds of getting Melo are shrinking. Love fits this team better. Get it done, Morey!

Carmelo leaks that he's trying to get Pau on board so he doesn't look bad if indeed he does end up leaving "well I tried to make it work." Phil leaks that Carmelo is happy with plan so he doesn't look bad if he does end up leaving "well we thought we had an endorsed plan in place."

At this point all of this sounds like a chess match, to me at least.

Good point. That Woj report could be sources from the TEAM perspective that are just projecting their good vibes of the meeting. Really like how every team feels.

I am not confident on getting Melo, but hopeful. The Bulls on the otherhand are already moving onto their next option which is interesting.

Sam Amick just posted this. According to the Knicks, there is only one threat among the suitors to steal Melo from them ---- Chicago.

Guys remember when the Lakers were the favorite? Remember when the Warriors had Dwight all but signed? These guys are getting news from everywhere. I trust them when they announce the decisions but not on these empty rumors.

Woj wasn't right before LeBron chose and he doesn't know for sure now. Neither does Sam Amick. When a headline reads "MELO AND LEBRON choose to go to.____" then I will buy this news.

Ya, I take it with a grain of salt as well. But Amick is fairly reputable. Puzzling that anyone could see Chicago as a viable option at this point.

Phil Jackson is the king of mind games and disinformation. Hell, if he feared the Rox he would tell everyone "Melo likes Chicago" coz it couldn't hurt and could only muddle things up. I wouldn't listen to anything out of New York from now on.

To me it's not about reputable or not. But rather any information we currently receive are from biased sources. Every source has its own agenda. Even Melo at this point would have to release info to make him seem like an awesome person just for PR reasons.

The more telling news is that Chicago seems to be doing a lot of Plan B work, Gasol, Mirotic, etc. If Melo's not thinking hard about Chicago, then it probably means he's not thinking too hard about winning championships, which does seem to imply NY over Houston.

So what is he thinking about? He hasn't made a decision yet for a reason.

Well, Houston isn't budging like Chicago is, which makes me feel like it's Houston or NY. If we had zero chance, I think the Rockets brass would know by now and we would have already moved on like Dallas basically has.
