dont know why Chicago & Houston used 7 in their promos. 15 is the number Melo wanted in NY but it's retired for Earl Monroe.
Lowry staying in Toronto, Melo probably going to Bulls after they just amnestied Boozer, and then this Lin/Melo jersey controversy. This free agency thus far has not been Morey's shining moment...
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>More Daryl Morey: "..some hurt feelings.I don't like that,but that's obviously Carmelo Anthony's number, that's the number he wants.(more)</p>— Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkBermanFox26/statuses/484472966327980032">July 2, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
No question that this hurt Jeremy...but that being said, if Lowry was still on the market(and Melo doesnt come), Lowry wouldve gotten his #7 back...just sayin'
Let's be honest here, did ANYONE even notice until the media hyped it up? Or when Jeremy tweeted about it? As has been mentioned before, it's standard protocol to photo-shop someone with their current # in a promo pitch. Whether the # on the fake jersey was 7, 6, hell even 12 or 13! I doubt Dwight and Harden would've been this butthurt. You get the player first, then you can worry about jersey numbers among the teammates.
Cry me a river Lin. Such a mentally weak person both on and off the court, it's kind of embarassing. This thing happens all the time and yet Lin is the sole butthurt to bring it up on social media and no surprise his delusional groupies cry foul. LOL
1. 15 was just given to Capella who is more likely in the Rockets long term plans than Lin 2. Lin is most likely gone if Melo signs 3. Most importantly you usually make a pitch with the players current jersey number
This. They're making a mountain out of a mole hill. But of course, any thread mentioning Lin devolves into a Lin-only trolls (Stupid LOFs vs LOHs) argument.
