this is stupid. you need talent upgrades whenever possible.

why do you think the spurs did not win in the 3 yrs after 99? they ran into a talent buzz-saw.

So let's just say that Rockets are not able to trade Lin. How much cap room would Rockets have before bringing back Chandler.

If Lin isn't moved and melo or LeBron don't happen.

I'm trying to see if there is still enough money to bring in Lowry, deng, z.randolph or similar level of players

Wow! I go out tonight to play trivia at a 6th Street pub and come home to this! I'm a bit shocked that we dealt Asik to a division rival (a rival now that Omir is there... mostly kidding), but if NOLA totally sucks next year despite having one of the best defensive centers in the league, well, that's their tough luck, and good luck for us. I agree with some who're saying we won't have this pick anyway. I predict that it'll go in a deal getting James or Melo. I hope not, because I'd like to hang on to the damn thing.

Regardless, the Rockets are making moves! :-D-

Well, maybe if they didn't look so dam smug all the time we'd leave them alone...

Funny, but not entirely relevant. Unless you happen to have Coach Pop leading your team, loading up on big talent is the way to go.

We aren't trading Harden unless it's for LBJ.

I think Lin is going next for a first rounder and then we might buy a first rounder like the suns 27th pick. We could just straight sign and trade with 4 first rounders + valuable asset for a player.

I hate pretentious douchebags like this guy.
If they love team ball so much go watch Euroleague or NCAA.

The NBA is successful largely in part because of its individual stars.

I just figured out Morey's master plan..

He traded Asik to New Orleans knowing that he's only on a 1 year rental and that they are a very injury prone team and understands the number of wins Asik brings. New Orleans finishes next year with the 10th seed. Rockets get the 12th pick in the draft and then convince Asik to sign with us next year for the Full MLE. Rockets retain championship contender status and New Orleans plummets to 3rd to last team in west. . . . . Daaaang!! Dude is evil!

It will likely be a 12-18 pick in a weak draft.
Not worth much, but re: the salary shed, it's going in the right direction to sign a FA.

I think that's what it will take for a GM to become the most hated in the league for a while. These other GMs and fans hate us right now and they don't want anyone to help us. This pick can not be ignored as an asset and if that's all it take to get a 3rd star then so be it.

So you think Lin will be traded and the Rockets will get an asset in return? LOL!

    I do like your optimism.
