Now I know why Mchale has been ineffective. Instead of saying the "ball got sticky," he should have been saying the "ball doesn't stick" or the "ball cannot stick." The tense is important. During the game vs post game coaching...

Can we please merge all these threads into one big giant I HATE HARDEN thread and give Carl H. some sort of title as king of the thread?

If this is how its going to be guys you might as well just stop watching or following the Rockets for the next 5 years. He's not going anywhere so you are going to have to deal with it or you are going to give yourself an aneurysm.

McHale has no system whatsoever. A clueless, incompetent loser head coach who is an embarassment to the Rockets. One of the worst coaches in NBA history and a bottom 3 coach now. No point giving him a board to draw plays. Inevitably all he says is:

    "Guys, play harder, *clap clap*""
"Guys move the ball, keep moving the ball and we'll be fine"

    And his most famous

"I don't know what to do"

Even if Mchale had a great defensive and offensive coach with superb systems, he has to have the balls to get his star players to follow them or else....

    iso= bench
    laziness on D = bench

The Spurs have been together forever... teams that are together for a long time tend to play better defense. Seldom does a young team with little experience together defend, it takes time.

Or, it took years to have teammates worthy of trust.

Exactly, and every time a team turns over a roster and replaces a coach you hit the reset button on that process.

[Chron] McHale sees promise aplenty with Rockets, regardless of potential moves

All coaches preach the same thing. Ball movement on offense, and effort on defense. It's just really hard to get young teams to play this way.

As DD said, it took Hakeem a long time to reach his full potential and trust his teammates. The current Rockets team is full of young players still learning to play the game. It just takes time.

But you... you have set the example for all to follow. And we thank you. Your statue will be next to the Hakeem one.

Thing is, I don't think we have years. Not too many of them anyway.

Get real! We kept Mc for Love.

This is a gamble. In the management's mind, once we've got Love. We are the champions. So they made the decision to keep the coach which will maximize our chances of getting love.

They might be able to win on their gamble to get Love. The real question is that can we win a ring or even get close to be a real contender. I don't really think they will.

The group of guys we have don't really glue well compared to either the Heat or the Spurs. Both those teams share another thing in common. Their players buy into their Coach. Rockets?

Harden may have years to waste, but Dwight does not. How can we ram the concept of non-sticky ball into the Beard as quickly as possible? I don't think we can, especially when McFail is our coach. I doubt that Mr. "only God can judge me" Harden will ever learn.
