The hit and run was on and Guzman stares at an obvious 3rd strike therefore getting Villar thrown out by a mile. Would love to know why Guzman took the pitch. Awful.
That is what it looked like, but big leaguers can't screw up hit & run signs this frequently, can they?
Blame on Villar. Or the pitcher for leaving the ball up constantly. The Astros have better options at SS and P all through our minor league affiliates, yet they aren't playing?
As dreadful as that inning was, we're only down 2 with the top of the order coming up. We're still in this!!!!!
I'd like to see Springer pinch-hit in this game. Let's get a couple on in the top of the 9th, and see what happens.
I don't think Farnsworth will be on the team much longer. Mets knew what they were doing when they released him.
It's frustrating to take a loss now, which is definitely a good sign. Perspective is important. We have so much coming down the pipeline. And amazingly, it seems that all the players coming up to the majors recently are panning out (Springer, Singleton, Keuchel, Cosart, Altuve).

Like the #Astros now? Coming attractions include Correa, Appel, Foltynewicz, Domingo Santana, McCullers, DeShields just to name six.
