Had Fowler out in the on deck circle with Villar at bat...presumably to advise the baserunner in case there was a close play at the plate (obviously Peacock doesn't have much experience doing that). Nobody was ever able to say if it was against the rules, or that you HAD to have the next batter up in the on deck circle... but I don't think the umps thought very highly of that strategy and probably put an end to it.
I thought he was out live, but replay it looks close to a tie. Ball is pictured in glove before he gets there, but glove is closed at contact with the base.
Closer to out than safe. I get the whole "too inconclusive to overturn" stuff, but if that wasn't changed to an out, replay is borderline useless.
I wouldn't call it useless. But I agree that out was the right call without consideration to inconclusive. Inconclusive should mean you are 50-50.
Singleton's been compared to Ryan Howard, but I also see a lot of Mo Vaughn in his swing mechanics--and the ball absolutely explodes off his bat. People are speculating that he'll hit 20-25 home runs at the MLB level, but I think he can hit more if he's able to drive the the other way consistently.
i want that dback dog. im so hungry right now. does anybody know what mmp is known for in food? ive never really ventured around the park to find out.
