If this was some god awful injury then I would have some sympathy, but LeBron went out with cramps during a pivotal point in the game. I've seen John Wall down a bushel of bananas and water and jump right back into the fray. If the Heat lose this series then LeBron's reputation deserves to take a serious hit.
Sounds like it was a hellavu game, the Spurs got scorching hot in the 4th like the temperature in the arena. They shot 100% on threes and almost 90% on twos! I'm not sure Lebron would've mattered but it would've been better had he been there to finish the game so there would be no excuses from fans and digs at Lebron. Lebron is mostly a straight up guy and I love the fact these fans really do not like the other team. Those twitter are all in good fun, I love it.
Question: If an athlete with two legs gets a cramp in a leg, can't he hop on the other leg to get to the bench? Answer: No. Put on cryface, make it dramatic, and get two guys to carry him.
These superstars have changed their game to play with each other. You're acting as if Wade or Bosh should go ISO like the Rockets when that's not their system. These guys are still superstars who have sacrificed selfish stats. They impact the game in so many ways. Everytime i see this kind of post from Heat lovers, I question their BB IQ.
Spurs wont turn it over like that again. They were scoring on almost every posession and were about to blow the game wide open till they had the 9 TO in the 3rd. It had nothing to do with the heats defense just sloppy play.
Magic's right. This WAS what it was like to play in the Garden back in the day. And further demonstrates how much better/tougher the League/teams/players were then. Those were the deepest, greatest teams in history. (Our Rockets would have at least a couple more titles if they weren't...In fact those Rocket teams were better than our title teams..THIS is why) That said, it's unfortunate about LBJ. Cramps aren't an injury that lingers until the next game. Butt the moment you're having them, it's paralyzing ..nothing to do but take the knives..It's over until they are over. This isn't James's fault. Doing so much out there that, he is the one most susceptible to this sort of thing. What this DOES show is that when you have a deep team, built the right way, that you can play through and overcome this deal. Look to the Spurs depth AND SIZE...Miami's Achilles Heel... They shot well, but pounding the rock is the right thing to do. Miami is going down. And in this age of primadonnas, teams patched together with Superfriends, so much techno/ media pump, it's refreshing (no pun intended) to see "old school ball...the way WE were taught....trump all that prepackaged stuff. I'm a Rockets fan, but ...Go San Antonio! Carry Dr. Naismith's torch.
Not if he has a double cramp, i.e. cramps on both the front and back of the same leg. It's clear that that was what LeBron had, from the position of his left leg while he was standing after that final layup. I've had these and I can tell you that they're totally crippling -- even aside from the excruciating pain. Because it's a double cramp, you can't go forwards (cramp) and you can't go backwards (cramp). You absolutely can't move. All you can do is wait for the cramps to ease. I get the feeling that you have never had a double cramp before.
They played concurrently for, what, 5 or 6 seasons? You can probably find what you are looking for if you try.
I would have thought the heat would have caused more problems for the team with the really old players.
Two years ago when Lebron cramped up against OKC in the finals in Miami, it wasnt because the stadium lost power...He just cramped up. To make excuses or conspiracy theories about playing in hot conditions is pathetic... everyone grew up playing ball out doors...both teams were equally affected, but the Miami Heat's reliance on Lebron to always carry them down the stretch should be the more talked about story...
You're right. It had nothing to do with the Heat's defense. The Heat can't defend and hopefully will be lucky enough to not get swept in this series.
Yeah everyone can relate to NBA players especially ones that grew up playing in the scorching Heat Ohio has. And how dare the Heat rely on the best player on the planet to help them win in the Finals?
Wade Allen Bosh or Duncan, Ginobili, Lenard? Which is the better assembly of players? Name a Rockets player NOT NAMES HOWARD that can compete with those trios? Rocket River
