you should also remind them that Westbrook average more assists than Harden , so Dwight probably get more shots actually
Westbrook has poor body control in the air. He can usually drive good, but when he jumps he's all spazzy.
There's a reason why the Thunder dumped Harden and not Westbrook. There's also a reason Harden came off the bench when he was on the Thunder. It's good to root for own players, but anyone thinking objectively would rather have a player that not only scores, but plays defenses and does other things on the court to help his team. Thunder were smart keeping Ibaka and dumping Harden. Defense wins in the playoffs.
There's a reason that Charlotte traded Kobe Bryant as well, really dumb reasons, but there were reasons sure, but then it was really never about Harden v Westbrook or Harden v Ibaka. And if you don't think Durant and Westbrook aren't sitting there thinking, why the **** did they keep Perkins and Sefolosha, well I don't know what to tell you, they were thinking that last year, and this year they lost to a team that Harden dissects, whilst Sefolosha didn't play and Perkins sucks.

spurs up 100-99 after a ginobili 3 with 27 seconds left. durant slips and turns the ball over on the next possession forcing the thunder to foul ginobili. ginobili goes 1 for 2 at the free throw line with 9 seconds left to play. westbrook drives, get's fouled, makes both free throws to tie the game. ginobili misses the game winner. durant goes scoreless in OT. durant cleared of all blame?
You do know that the decision was not Westbrook vs Harden right? Rather Harden vs Perkins? You know this correct? They could have had Ibaka, Harden, Westbrook, and Durant. Harden came off the bench but played starting minutes and finished the games...so it was really a formality more than anything.
If Jeremy Lin could go completely out of control and get bailed out every time he hurls the ball at the rim, we'd never even think of trading him.
It was Harden v. Ibaka and not Harden v. Perkins. It probably should have been Perkins but it wasn't.
I really hope Westbrook see's all this BS. The dude did nothing but help the Thunder this series. They don't get to that OT without him. They don't get one of their wins without him. I hope he's so sick and tired of Durant getting all the praise for the winning but barely any of it for losses as it's all piled on himself. I hope he leaves, I hope Durant is stuck in OKC by himself for at least a year, and I will laugh when Russ finishes as a better MVP candidate then him.
Lmao! I'm a fan too but come on. Harden wouldn't have 'dissected' this Spurs in the playoffs. Did you even watch our playoff games this year? Regular season and playoffs are different animals. Spurs were just coasting in the regular season watching their Big 3's minutes.
The sad thing is OKC had them both. It is clear they would be in this year's finals and the favorite to beat the Heat if they did not do that stupid trade. That being said. What a difficult choice. When on, Westbrook is unbelievable and harder to stop. Harden is more reliable. At this point Westbrook seems more of a fighter and less prone to succumb to pressure. I think Harden has the better chance of improving further due to his intelligence. Harden will have the better and longer career. It is sort of like comparing Tim Duncan to say Amare Stodamire or a Shawn Kemp type. At their best Kemp (if the played at the same time) and Stodamire could sometimes overwhelm Duncan with their sheer athleticism.
If not for the drugs, Kemp would have been in the convo for best PF ever. That combined with the lockout and him eating his way out of the league destroyed his chances.
The Thunder had identical deals for Ibaka and Harden. Ibaka took his deal so he is out of the equation. Harden wanted more so the Thunder had a choice; amnesty Perkins or trade Harden. The rest is history. So it was Perkins v. Harden. They could have afforded Westbrook, Harden, Durant and Ibaka. They could have been a dynasty for the next decade but they didn't not want to pay luxury taxes.
