Forget MVP Of This year. Tracy Mcgrady is the MVP! Who does more for his team than he does? Without tmac The magic are a 10 win bottom feeder lotto team.
I think without duncan the spurs are still and 8th seed.
    Same with the wolves...
Tmac is the best overall player in the league right now... Kobe can't touch Tmac. It's not even a contest. Kobe tryed leading his team without shaq and he fell on his @$$... 2-7 i think was the start? Mcgrady Is The Most UNDERRATED Player in the league...
hes only 24! Scary... he will go down as one of the best. MJ Type Caliber.
    Tmac 4 2003-2004 MVP!

Mcgrady is very good, but I sure won't take him over Ducan. The Spurs had 60 wins in the "WEST" where as Orlando had only 42 wins in the "EAST". And the Spurs team without Duncan is not an 8th seed in the west, without Duncan, they are no better than Houston (9th).

    -G'day-

How is he underrated? Everybody says he is a great player. But you cant get MVP consideration if you just barely squeak your team into the playoffs espically if thats the Eastern Conference.

T-Mac is a great player, but he plays in a system that is custom fitted for his game - especially after Hill turned out to be lame.

    Case in point...

    Jerry Stackhouse 2000-2001

    29.8 points

    5.1 assists

    3.9 rebounds

    .

    Tracy McGrady 2002-2003

    32.1 points

    5.5 assists

    6.50 rebounds

T-Mac is the twice the player that Stack is, we all know this. That being said, at some point you have to look at the success of the team. IMO, T-Mac takes a back seat to Webber, Kobe, Shaq, Garnett, Kidd, Duncan, Dirk, Nash, Marbury, et al. Had the Magic played in the West, they would have been 2 spots behind the Rox.

He is a great player...but not an MVP.

Ya, getting a team to .500 in the East is a real accomplishment.

I know he doesn't have much talent around him, but there isn't much talent, period, in the East.

If Duncan were on the Magic, Orl would be the best team in the East.

T-mac is a fantastic individual, but Orlando ended with 42-40 and that's simply not good enough, and especially when you are in the Eastern Conference. Look out for Orlando next year dough! With sophmores to be Drew Gooden and Gordan Giricek helping T-mac out, things can look good for Orlando...

Orlando is almost a lottery team even with T-Mac.
