Not worried about them, bunch of soft shooters who can't defend as a team or individually. Good coach, if Kerr ends up being one, can only do so much.
That's a lot of money for a guy whose most recent NBA experience was destroying a championship competitor in Phoenix (although it was mostly the cheap owner's fault).
warriors a top 5 defensive team last year You have NO CLUE what you are talking about. It's kind of funny.
Why a team that is very close to contender status would give a coach with no experience 25 million dollars is beyond my understanding. But this is really good news for the Rockets. One less team to worry about. Would not be surprised if they miss the playoffs next year.
Well Mark Jackson was a defensive minded coach, whether nor not Kerr's philosophy would work for that team, I have no clue. Mainly because Kerr has never coached or been a part of any coaching staff.
They've been a decent matchup for us, but I can't co-sign their team and individual defense being poor (outside of Steph & David Lee). Especially not this season.
Well it's not like we have Phil Jackson or Greg Popovich. I would not be surprised if Mchale is outcoached by a rookie.
I don't understand why they would give a rookie coach $25M over 5. All he has done post playing career is ruin the Suns and be a terrible broadcaster
Yes!! Can't wait for the Warriors to underachieve next year so we can see first hand how stupid organizations can be for firing good coaches, for ones that are perceived to be good coaches. Kerr has been the most coveted coach with absolutely no experience. Mark Jackson will enjoy this
Never mind that Mark Jackson was hired with no experience at all and turned out to be a pretty good coach...
I was skeptical of first year coaches but Doc MJ and JKidd have worked out. I give Kerr a better chance than those guys. Very bright, known for his preparation and has played for the 2 best coaches ever and must have learned something from both guys.
