Would you stop following the Rockets if they traded Lin?

Probably the most moronic post ever. Lin has been a rocket for two seasons and you ask if our fandom is tied to a marginally average player that has only been here for two seasons? I am hereby formally requesting that Clutch ban op for life. And ban his ip address so he can't make another profile

 

Of course not. That would be idiotic. I didn't stop following after they traded Hakeem. Not after they traded Francis. Not after they dumped Tracy. And all of those guys were FAR more interesting than Lin.

He's a role player at best. The fact that so many answer "yes" to this question makes me WANT to trade him... and his fans.

one more point to add: I am really curious to see how the current Lin (maybe plus the off season practice) would be doing in any other team. I agree with one of the poster saying that Lin is in the worst team environment possible in the league. Let me put some sort of bet here: If Jeremy Lin is traded to another team other than Heat and he pull up worse stats(such as ppg, apg, etc), I will donate $500 in the tip jar.

Seriously...I love Lin & think he had a bright future, but if he left the Rockets then so be it. I'd still follow his career, but I'm a Rockets fan for life.


I even stopped watching the NFL when Oilers left town...& I'm an Aussie!

He doesn't start for the Rockets either...so rather have Lin be like a Udanis Haslem and be on the bench of a championship team than be the blame of a disorganized mediocre team.

The hate for all Lin fans is really unfounded. While I agree that there are too many Lin fans who are irrational and rapid, there are also posters who are logical and fair minded. You can't really dislike all of them.

This is no different than other fans who follow a team to watch a specific player. The only difference is there are more of them. I mean...there are Joe Johnson fans who thought he deserved to be an allstar this year.

This is just the nature of admiring and respecting a person. You tend to have a clouded opinion of their worth, but that doesn't mean we have to have a biased opinion of all posts after 2012.
