Obviously, Roxxfan stole the bike and melted it or something. I couldn't imagine any scenario where someone would even suggest doing what he suggested if the bike was found, however unlikely the chance of that could be...
Your'e welcome . Check your receipt if it has the bike's serial number. All Cannondale bikes should have one and you should be able to validate if that is yours. In addition, once you validate that it is yours, tell the person you will think about it before buying then call the cops.
Are you trying to steal my reps bongman? I had to manually look through craigslist to find the "Canondale." The nerve.
I emailed the seller last night, and heard nothing backed. The ad was deleted a few moments ago...either it was a fake, it sold (doubt it that fast), or something scared him off. That was my only lead... Real downer..
Same guy. You can't email him asking for a picture though. You'd have to just show up expecting it. He is catching on (although his spelling is textbook work injury bike collector).
Isn't that a pretty jank-ass area of town? I recall that area being listed recently on some thread about top 10 most dangerous neighborhoods in the US.
"We are one of the bigger dealers in used bicycles in the city." Yeah, right. I think there's a chance this could be your bike. If he doesn't get back to you, I wouldn't mind emailing him.
Anyway to tell the address, or at least if there's a bike shop on that street? It is a pretty bad part of town.
You filed a police report? I've had bikes stolen across multiple countries and never even thought about trying to chase it down. I feel like having your bike stolen at one point or another is part of owning a bike.
I used to live about a block from there and I'm pretty sure there is no bike shop there. It's just a neighborhood.
