The Rockets led by double digits in every single game... Portland didn't lead by double digits at any point the entire series.
That is on the coach then. Better execution down the stretch. Houston was the better team. It might sound ridiculous, but Portland's play isn't sustainable. They are the real "Clutch City" THIS year.

Well that can't be true... looking at game 2, the Rockets never led by more than 8 points. The largest lead in that game was when the Rockets were leading 46 to 38.
outside of two games I think we outscored them by at least 20 points in the paint per game yet they shot about the same amount of free throws that we did. One game we outscored them 68 to 30 and they shot 3 more free throws than us. We got squeezed all series. Didn't help that it took McHale 3 games to figure out Jones couldn't guard Aldridge
Kenny said something that's relevant to this a week back. If you lose by a blowout that's the player's fault, but if you lose by a few points that's coaching's fault.
Game 2 was the only game in which the Rockets didn't hold a double digit lead. They had 10/10+ point leads in all other 5 games.
Okay, I just looked it up. It's correct except for game 2. The Rockets never led by more than 8 points. The Blazers never led by more than 9 points the whole series. So it is true that the Blazers never led by double digits at any point in the series. And it's almost true that the Rockets led by double digits in every game of the series. The only game that isn't true is game 2 where the most they led by was 8.
