Howard misses four free throws. He need to make them. Otherwise, we will not win the championship. It is over . Mcfail need to go.

Sucks that it had to happen now and this way but it did. We weren't winning a championship this season anyways with the roster as constructed and McHale.

Now Morey has a full offseason to build the right supporting cast around Howard/Harden with ample assets (MLE, Asik, Parsons, Jones, picks, etc.).

Our roster is going to be so much better next year. And it will have a competent coach to go with it.

I'm sure it has been brought up but why do you have someone on the inbounds passer. You don't have time to pass back. So why not just have him roaming the three point area?

I think Frank will stay in Indi. Lionel Hollins might be a more realistic option

It's one of those things that's more a question of preference. A long player can affect the inbounds pass in that they can limit the angles to some degree by forcing the pass to go in at a higher arc or affect the timing of the pass allowing a defender more time to catch up off a curl, screen or switch, as well as possibly even deflect it. Also, they can act as weak side help if they are Smart. In other words, not TJones.

Other coaches would just go with nobody guarding the in-bound pass. This makes it easier to adjust to screens and switches, but offers more angles for inbound passes.

Both are reasonable as long as you have the right personnel on the floor.

This is how Jordan and Lebron lost their innocence. It's happening with us too.

As human beings we tend not to learn from our successes as much as our failures. None of the players in that locker room will forget this moment. The anger, the indignation. No one is ready to quit the season.

I hope next year we don't see as much happiness and smiling from these Rockets. Not because such things are bad, but because it would be a sign of maturity, a sign that we have grown. Yes, the world sucks. Yes, everyone is out to get you. Yes, it is your sole job in life to ram it down the throats of people who would stop you from your goals.

The way we played this series was above what we showed in the regular season. If we pull out this Dwight, this Asik in the regular season then we will have 60 wins. We don't even need to add anybody. In the West, 60 wins still might net you a difficult opponent, but we should be ready to defeat anybody at this point.

Live and learn. I hope that all of you Clutchfans are doing the same thing with your personal lives. Don't let these Rockets' failures stop you from achieving your own goals. Reach high and go far. One day we will be powerful enough to fight back against the Northeastern and West Coast bias that takes pleasure out of seeing us bashed and bruised in such an unfair fashion year in and year out. It's going to be a violent revolution, the economic rise of Houston.

Give me a break. If James Harden played like he is paid to play then we win this series it isn't hard to see considering all of the games were close and he only played good in one of those games.

Even with Aldridge performing like he did if Harden shows up it would be game 7 on Sunday or we would have already won the series.

Mavs spurs game had similar last second play that was thwarted very easily. This is 90% coaching fail.

*****, that's somehow more embarrassing than the actual play. The fact that Lillard could hear their confusion is just...SMH.

I'm sorry, but damn it Lin should have been in. He played GREAT defense on Lillard in the second half (counted 5 points on Lin), especially BALL DENIAL DEFENSE. BALL DENIAL. DENYING OF THE BALL. DAMMIT!!!

I don't post here much, but check this out from coach Nicks.

    The 3 stooges killed themselves.

    It looks to me:

    1. Harden told Parsons to switch with Patrick Beverley
    2. PB and Parsons switch
    3. PB steps underneath Mo
    4. Harden just stood there.

Lillard takes off while they were still talking, PBev no position to switch so Parsons chases after Lillard, and Harden didn't switch. End result, Lillard out runs Parsons and is a full half second ahead and drains that uncontested shot.

And no one thought to just foul...I don't think McHale gave them any sort of orders to do so.

Either way, bad way to end the season.

It took 2 losses on our HOME COURT until McHale made the adjustment to start Twin Towers on Aldridge .... any other coach in the NBA, College, or even High School would have made that adjustment in the 2nd half of Game 1.

Harden was on fire in the first quarter, but reticent in the fourth quarter, passing it off to Lin and others with like 3 seconds on the shot clock. I think he didn't want to be a goat.

It's just one of those things where Les is not going to give McHale only one shot at it after Howard was acquired. He's going to give McHale another season because the expectation by Morey and Les (I imagine) is that this wouldn't be the season we would go to the finals. I think they did think we would advance past the first round but no real expectations after that...as in it would be all gravy after that.

Great call. Jones should have been paying attention to how the play was developing instead of half-heartedly doing jumping jacks. He could have easily made the pass tougher had he been more aware. Definitely McHale's calll on that so cant fault Jones too much.

If Harden really told Parsons to switch onto Lilliard, then wow. Not that Parsons is a bad defender but that couple seconds of confusion clearly put the defense a step behind. Beverly would have been on Lilliard like a GD second skin pick or not. At the least Lilliard would have been much more off-balance.
