    Game 6 Grades:

    Beverly: B
Didn't have much of an impact. Probably still feeling flu symptoms but that one possession early where he kept the ball to himself seemed silly and forced. Nothing good came from it. Played decent defense except for the last Lillard shot; could have rotated onto him also.

    Lin: B+
Pushed the tempo, got the extra possession by forcing the fast break even if he missed the layup in the 4th. Not spectacular but no harm either. Solid to good play through the game. No complaints.

    Harden: A-
Might knock it down to a B+ for not switching to Lillard on the last shot, but otherwise he came to play tonight and try and win this game.

    Daniels: C-
    Nothing noteworthy.

    Parsons: C
Finished fast breaks in the first half but disappeared in the second. Needed more activity and more hustle play from him.

    Jones: D+
Needed better play from him. Boneheaded and couldn't grab the rebounds. Should have challenged Lillard's shot - he was pretty close. Bad defender was exposed. Not sure why he was in for Portland's last possession anyway...

    Asik: B+
Played a hell of a game on defense but got called for some bad fouls. Luckily we got some foul calls back on Howard in the 4th. No complaints with Asik. One man can't do all the defensive work.

    Howard: A
No complaints. Played like a leader. Should have made 4th quarter free throws, but can't rely on that as a team. McHale should have called different plays involving Harden in the last few minutes. Excellent defense and rebounding. One man can't do all the defensive work.

    McHale: C+
Felt odd to keep forcing the ball to Dwight in the post in the closing minutes of the 4th.

Overall, we didn't play team ball in these playoffs and we didn't play good enough defense, or at least the perimeter players didn't. Need to shore that up for next season. Parsons needs to become a defensive player first and leave his scoring to come from fast breaks off defense.

Exactly. I'm super confused as to what his purpose was. Considering this was directly in front of our bench I'm led to believe he did exactly what he was told to do. Stand there and jump up and down. Really really poor game plan and/or execution.

I didn't expect to win a championship this year but I feel like something was just wasted. We have a young team but Howard is in his prime now and a deeper run would have felt much better.

And why are we subbing Jones for that last play anyway? Since when has been a good defender? I know DMo, new guy, Hamilton, haven't played at all. But surely we had a better defensive option than Terrence.

At the very least, I am glad Harden came back to night. Would have been hell listening to all the BS about him all off season. I hope he puts in that work on defense this off season.

    Really?

All they did was jack up shots the entire series and played ref ball.

If they play the Spurs they will get swept.

Nah 97 Western Conference Finals John Stockton 3 pointer at the buzzer to send Utah to the finals on our home court, with Malone's famous bear hug

Yep, way worse. At least this game (and series) was close and could have gone either way. It sucks we lost but it was definitely tight all the way through each game. When they showed the stats of points, 3's attempted and FTs between Houston and Portland, it was eerily close.
