I am fine with Lin contributing off the bench, I mean he was somewhat instrumental in building that 2nd quarter lead. But please Mchale, don't put him in the game with less than 5 minutes to go.
The LO Fanbase don't need all you bandwagoners who wanna jump ship now that he's struggling. The real Lin fans will stick it out. I still believe he's a much better player than what he's shown this year.
I don't mind him playing with less than 5 minutes to go. After all, in games 1 and 3 he played all of the 4th quarter and played pretty well (outside of that missed layup in game 3). He just cannot, repeat, cannot make dumb mistakes. If he is, you take him out immediately. And if there is a crucial defensive possession, I also think you should take him out.
I hate to say this but I don't see Lin pulling out of this on his own. He's lost confidence and it will affect his game. I think Harden needs to talk to him since they both have been blamed heavily during the series. They need to talk and say "hey man, we can do this, let's focus, let's be aggressive and both of us can come out of this series and redeem ourselves for our failures". Then he needs to just go out there lazer focused and play, don't worry about scoring or making big plays, just go out there and play the game with intensity and focus. The rest will come. But what I'm afraid of is if Lin is inserted back in the game, he will try too hard to redeem himself which will result in turnovers and bad shots.
