We need to keep the TT starting lineup, and if chandler parsons doesn't step up, then Triy Daniels needs to be an automatic insertion into the lineup.
You want the truth? Mother-****ing defend somebody. Shut their **** down, get all up in their turkey, and let our rim protectors swat anything at the rim into next Tuesday. Rotate over if someone gets beaten, but perimeter guys try like hell to stay in front of your guy. If they have to hit contested jumpers over you, you'll win. We've got more talent, and we're losing because we can't get defensive stops. Don't give up a single uncontested layup, funnel drivers to your bigs, don't leave Aldridge alone ever, and close out 3 point shooters. Work hard on defense and we'll win this thing going away. As others have said, we're playing like crap, absolute crap, but have barely been losing. Get your **** together, and we can win this series. The next game is even more important than the last one - that's the nature of the playoffs. Don't come home down 3-1, Rockets, don't you do that to this city.
Put Powell in the game for a 3 minute period just to let Aldridge know that we are here and ready for a fight. There should be plenty of non-career-ending hard fouls during this 3-minute stretch.
LOL We finally have a TDOF? :grin: On a serious note, Stotts is going to focus on TD when he's on the floor. It's going to be difficult for him to have open looks in this series.
Seriously I wouldn't even play Tjones for a minute. He absolutely killed us in that 2nd quarter yesterday.
Harden needs to show why he is Harden. He needs to be efficient, ruthless, and fearless. The rockets are still in a do or die situation, they can't get complacent.
Defense: Rebound and limit LA again. Make him earn every shot. Let others beat us. Offense: Less ISO, more PnR with Harden/Howard combo and Lin/Harden combo.
Lillard is not good at defense. Attack Lillard. LMA can't keep carry the offense if he has to work on the defensive end, make LMA play defense. Harden will hit shots because he simply will. Keep Batum from going off by chasing him off the perimeter sooner. Get back on Transition D. That's how we'll win.
I wonder if Josh Powell can be useful a stretch 4 off the bench. Parsons needs to step up big time in this game. He should attack the basket and defend. Slowing down Batum will help us. TT against LMA, and Bev/Lin against Lillard is a must. Harden needs to get Matthews in foul trouble by attacking him.
We need to run pick and roll at least the last 5 minutes of every quarter with Harden and Howard. The play is unstoppable! We need to run pick and roll with Beverly more. His floater is on and they are ignoring his offense. We need Parsons to continue to slash. Run when we have an opening, and finally watch the Blazers miss some shots finally. Everything evens out in sports. You can hit 10 in a row and miss 10 in a row. The best of the best hit half there shots. Its over due for the blazers to fall apart and go ice cold from the field!
