I like him down at RGV, not sure what he did at Toronto this year (on their coaching staff)

Clearly the answer is someone who will let our backup PG be the focal point of our offense. Who could stop a guy who always drives to the lane, jumps into midair and then tries to decide what to do? We would be unstoppable!

    Karl?

He is old, has bad health and has massively underachieved in the post season.

    Great choice!

Chris Finch may be the proclaimed Morey head coach, but others are right. Dwight likes Mchale. Heck I think everyone on the team likes mchale and for a young team a good motivator like him can be very helpful. Maybe after a year or 2 and its not working they can move to Finch.

Hollins has gone on record about his position vis-a-vis analytics and he doesn't oppose it. He just wants it as one of a combination of factors, which also include qualitative analysis. His style was slow only because that was the personnel he was working with. You can't have an uptempo team with Gasol and Z-Bo, who are two of the slower players in the league. Also, nothing wrong with a focus on defense. The Rockets need that. Hollins will also hold players accountable. This team lacks discipline as evidenced by all their singing, dancing, and actin' a fool. When things go bad, you see the body language of players and it's poor. They don't respond to adversity as well as they should. Hollins will help instill discipline. Moreover, this team needs to be able to play a slower, more half-court style because the game slows down in the playoffs. I can't think of a better coach than Hollins. He would help provide this team with much of what it lacks.

Edit: Hollinger is also not the GM of the Grizzlies. It's Chris Wallace.

Hollins sucks. He did fine with good players. but he's a mediocre coach who wears bad suits.

Karl is fine but you better win in 2-3 years or his personality will grate on the players.

Van Gundy's id LOVE a van gundy team coach--but that wont happen, Stan is an okay option.

I really like Sloan but he's too old now--and isnt an anlytics guy either.

Id love to see who is a top flight assistant from the Pop crew or something similar with Thibs liek potential--but those are always a gamble.
