Here's my take - our two wing defenders played over 40 minutes each. Brewer is a wing player. Who do you think should have been guarding Brewer. Harden is extremely lazy on defense (and on offence when he doesn't have the ball). Many times he was in the lane covering no one and his man was off to the sides wide open. Parsons wants to score and get his big contract. Playing D will not get him a big contract. T Jones has no clue on help defines and often gets bullied past by his man. Lin tries on defense and often times he will contain his man, but needs help defense so needs teammates who are aware. Asik is on an island, gets no rebounding help, and when the ball is switched from side to side, he is pretty useless.

In this game they played many minutes with Harden at the 1 and Garcia at the 2. That didn't work out too well as Garcia also cannot cover for Harden and Parsons. The reason why Bev is important is because his on ball defense makes it hard for the other team's ball handler to get the ball to Harden's man cleanly.

    BWAAAAHAHAHAHA!

    COREY F***** BREWER drops 51pts.

Harden & Parsons couldn't defend a lamp post.

That fast break where Parsons wouldn't give the ball up to Lin... SMFH... Parsons was a much better player when he didn't think he was the 3rd option on this team and got his points in the flow. Now he is selfish and forcing it and his defense is s***house. Ball Game, momentum breaker right there.

Its the coaching. Get rid of this lame coach and this team would be a serious contender... check the Clips.

People can knock Bev, but for a guy that is waiting to get paid, he is still extremely team oriented and not worried about his numbers. He does what is needed for the win. Lin got paid and I think he does what is needed for the team to win. Howard got paid and is very team focussed. As for Jones, he's still learning team defense and is still a rook out there essentially. But the other two slots still think their **** don't stink. The coach allows this to happen because he does not sit their asses when they don't give effort on both ends.

Guys want to blame players for the loss - well start with the 40% of the line up that played 42+ min each. When players start passing the ball to the other team, either the passer screwed up, or the receiver did not do what he was supposed to. Jones has a bad habit of not expecting passes to come his way in the lane. Players see their teammates trapped and do not put themselves in a position to bail out their teammate. All of these things should be ingrained in their heads by the coaches, but it does not seem so because it continues to happen.

you can't have one of the league's top centers in your lineup and some point it's going to make a difference. no one's talking about the fact dwight has been out. we're basically going with last years lineup.

minnesota has played us close before with dwight. i'm not going stress myself like i see some of the posts here people are going to rupture something getting so upset.

let's get to the playoff and hopefully we luck out and okc and clips lose to each other and we get a shot at the spurs. it's supposed to be fun and entertainment.

Man, this team has zero pride and zero basketball iq. Some of the stuff that was happening at the closing minutes of the game i just cant wrap my head around. That Parsons pass to Dieng for no reason, Harden trying to draw the three point foul then passing out of the shot to Lin who drives and hits what, the top of the backboard or something. Man I dont know, do we have no gameplan for these situations? Do we really want to rely on the refs to call three point fouls like they did in the okc game? Does Harden take pride in his flopping and flailing? Just play the game like its meant to be played, why do we have to look for loopholes and easy ways out when our players have shown theyre able to win the normal way. This game was one of the worst displays of basketball I have ever seen, thankfully we didnt win it else the guys would have probably thought they had played a good game.

McHale has installed discipline. The problem is when your best doesn't the instructions by the coach the rest of the troops won't follow either. Harden needs to cut that nonsense out especially going into the playoffs.

My error, I pasted in his dad Bernie's bio.

J.B Bickerstaff just grew up in a coaching household and has only been an assistant coach for 12 years. He was the youngest assistant coach in the NBA at the age of 25 and has been a NBA assistant coach for 10 years.

    http://www.mndaily.com/university/administration/eric-kaler/2013/06/23/transition-jb-bickerstaff

12 years as an assistant coach, 10 years coaching at the NBA level with a reputation for being a very bright basketball mind and grew up in a household where his father is a NBA head coach... the point still holds. At least double the coaching experience of McHale.

So keep telling us how McHale is the brains running the X's and O's again?

Man you can't let a Loveless team beat you like this period. Plus allowing a scrub who will never score 51 to have his way.
Who the he33 is Cunningham by the way. Just another mediocre player having his way against the Rockets.

We have reverted back to how we were playing at the beginning of the season. That is not the way we won't to play going into the playoffs. We are about to hand the Blazers home court.

Harden decided to go hero mode with 3 guys on him instead of passing. Would have been at least an easy 2.

No way that would have been an easy 2. There is 2.9 secs. Honestly the most Lin would have been able to get was a 3 point attempt 3 feet behind the line. Harden is the superstar so he should be taking that last shot too bad he lost the ball and wasn't able to throw something up there.

Are you saying thta it was the correct play? If this was game 7 of the final with 2 seconds left, you would want Harden to try and get a game winner off 3 guys instead of passing to a open player?

    It's all good.

    We knew what you meant.

No need for those stats/numbers/data to work out that McHale is not the brains behind the Xs and Os.

The man is a motivator. Not a schemer.

Nice man but am not a big fan of him as a coach.
