Why don't the Rockets get any love for basically sweeping the Spurs this season (3-0 this season)

    All the talk revolving the Spurs is about how they should be worried if or when they face OKC In the playoffs. We have the Spurs killer, James Harden, the dude averages 30+ against them just like Durant and Kobe do to us.

    Maybe because OKC is the #2 seed and we're the #4 seed? Or OKC has a better record? Or OKC has already beaten us 3-1 AND swept the Spurs?

    OKC is the better team on paper by every measure, and they're the team right behind the Spurs. And they've already been to the Championships.

    They deserve to be considered more of a threat for the title.

    Its okay. They will learn when Rockets are in the Western Finals. And then the Finals. Then the ring.

    Some of us make the homer mistake and assume that ESPN and TNT are supposed to be Rockets experts and talk about us in an equal manner with all teams.

    Having Obama, Putin and the rest of expert NBA analyst stating that we will win the championship does not get us anywhere closer to it. It is up to the team to prove it on the court.

    We still have a game to go against them, so technically we have not swept them. And by the time that game comes along, both the Rockets and Spurs will be playing reserves so the outcome will be meaningless.

    Because the Rockets haven't proven themselves in the playoffs yet.

    OKC is a formidable opponent for the Spurs and have proven to be a great team in the playoffs.

    The Rockets are essentially unproven.

    Against the Spurs this season, Harden's shot 75% from deep and 60% overall.

    In a 7 game series that's not sustainable

    this sounds like pathetic bulls fans for wanting credits for sweeping the Heat in the playoffs 2 years ago, only to get 4-1'd in the playoffs lol

    The difference is okc has played the spurs in 2014 when they have been the hottest team in the nba compared to the rockets who got to play them in 2013

    Because it's a fluke and they will not beat the Spurs in the playoffs. I love our Rockets but they played a different Spurs team. The Spurs team going into the playoffs is not the same team we faced back then.
