I don't understand how anyone can deny Dirk's greatness. I really did not like him, but that 2011 Finals changed my entire perception of him. That shot form is beautiful. It's how I shoot the basketball. If only I was his height. It's so unguardable. Go watch his 2011 playoff highlights. its beautiful.

You can argue Drexler wasn't in his prime by then, but it's pretty hard to argue an 8 time all star is anything but a superstar. Dude averaged 20 pts a game during the championship season.

No you're wrong. No way can a guy who might even be a Top 3 Center compete with the Greatest Power Forward ever!!!

Right, because Drexler won B2B titles in Houston.

    One word stole the luster.

    Still though,

    Greatest Power Forward ever!!!

All future All-Time lineups must include this guy at Power Forward.

Tim Duncan only scored more than 23ppg 3 times in his career.
    Hakeem did it 8 times.

A little bit higher, Duncan scored 25ppg only once. Hakeem did it four times.

Duncan never even had 1 season where he averaged 1 steal per game. To put that into perspective, Hakeem only had 1 season where he didn't average at least 1 steal.

Hakeem was everyone where on the defensive floor.. Duncan was a great defensive player too, but not like Hakeem.

I can't even begin to imagine how anyone who was watching the NBA from 1992-1996 could think that TD was better in his prime than Hakeem. Since 1992, only MJ has had a higher peak than the Dream.

The only reason Duncan is the best power forward ever is because all the best big guys played center.

I'm not hating on Duncan or Dirk, either. They were both freaking awesome, all-time great players. Just not as good as Dream in his prime. That's nothing to be ashamed of.

Not sure what is wrong with this statement, TD can play alongside guys like Hakeem and Shaq

Don't have convince me Dream > TD

    My last response was sarcasm.

I don't even buy TD as a PF.

Sure... unfortunately though, most lineups outside of Houston will feature TD (at PF) with no Olajuwon. Even though TD isn't better nor a PF.

Shaq and Lebron would probably argue with this

Dirk is an awesome player to watch even though the fouls and stuff is maddening when you are a fan of the other team.

I would be absolutely thrilled to death if Dirk ended up as a member of the Rockets next year. Thrilled to death.

Haha you were born after 96 weren't you? Going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't see Hakeem play because these comments are hilarious.

Serious question: how did the Mavs get this record, they were supposed to be a team headed for the lottery / mediocrity.

Who cares if he overtakes Hakeem's scoring. He'll never sniff Hakeem defensively. And I'm sick of this "Dirk also carried his team to a championship" BS. The Dream carried his team as the best offensive and defensive player for his championships. Dirk can't even carry Hakeem's jockstrap.

Rick Carlisle is a top 5 head coach.

Dirk is still a very good all star caliber player.

Their bench is actually good, they have solid depth.
