Being one of the Eli manning "trolls" on the Giants boards, just let me say that as much as I rag on him online, I cheer him on just as much as my favorite Giant player. Don't take too much stock on what is being said online. At the end of the day, the real rocket fans, as annoyed as they are with Lin fans, will cheer him as much as any other.

As a Lin fan, some of us are really annoying.

I was afraid to post this because I didn't want to jinx Bev, but the dude needs to know when to turn it down a notch. If you go full throttle all the time, chances are you get injured. Avery Bradley has learned how to do this after becoming a starter. He is half the defensive player he was coming off the bench.

The Rockets could announce Clutch the Bear is getting fired and replaced by a giant octopus and it'd still turn into a Lin thread.

Same injury, torn meniscus. However, we won't know until next week the severity of the injury and what sort of surgery it will require.

So it could be a short recovery, or it could be as long as Lin, or even longer.

We just won't know until they go in and do an exploratory.

I believe this is a plot. You take our 2 best defensive players out for 10+ days to
    1. Showcase lin and asik to raise their trade value for next year
    2. To have the team learn to play better defense without their best defense
    3. To lock up the 4th spot in the playoffs
Even Beverly said this is a setup in his tweet

Don't forget the rockets looked liked they tanked towards the end of last season to fall to the 8th spot. This showcases how well we played against the top seed (OKC) thus luring top free agent Dwight Howard to the rockets.

This reminds me of when papovich rests his players against the contenders

    Am I reaching to hard?

    Hmmm very interesting conspiracy theory.
    1. Possible
    2. Highly unlikely
    3. Possible

i believe this doctors kno the exact prognosis pretty much immediately and just prolong the inevitable to be 125% sure

if there was good news we would have already heard it

But you don't know if he'll play at this level for the next 3 seasons, or how long his career will last. He might end up like Brandon Roy for all we know, he was playing just fine after his meniscus surgeries too.

He was told NOT to turn it down or he gets shipped back to Russia. Though I am pretty sure he was joking, he did say that, implying he asked already.

It turns out it wasn't Russia after all. It was the Ukraine.

I agree. It's not just his defense, he gets the team going and sets the tone for the game.
