I'm usually not worried about most scrub teams nowadays. The Rockets have been taking care of business.

That said, a scrub team that literally has nothing to lose AND is playing for something that they care about... that's dangerous.

We can never forget that these are still all Professional basketball players. All of them were top prospects at the college level. They won throughout their college careers in D1 conferences. They were good enough to get drafted or signed to contracts.

They can still put the ball in the hoop, and in the case of the 76ers they're young and you can bet that they're sick of losing, and they're staring down the prospect of getting the WORST losing streak in NBA history.

Pride is not a small thing.

People are willing to destroy their family relationships and friendships over pride. They'll do things that are self-destructive over pride. They'll walk away from money and make impetuous decisions over pride. And they'll sometimes do amazing things over pride.

We *should* win this game. However, we saw earlier in the season that even scrubs can get hot and light it up. And if enough of them get hot at the same time, and they're playing hard all game (which I think they will be), then this will be a serious dogfight.

The Rockets need to not treat this as a regular game. For the 76ers, these ARE their play offs. They'll come out hard and be laser focused.

Even an average joe can knock out a professional fighter if the fighter is lazy, not paying attention or not prepared. Especially if the average joe has nothing to lose...

Philly is historically pathetic. Rockets have game in hand in third quarter. Sixers:83 Rockets:107

Not sure if you want Harden on him either.

But you do want him on Harden. ;)

Even if Anderson lights up, Harden will light him up more. If Lin can get 9 3pters on Anderson, Harden can foul Anderson out in first Q

We are -19 for this game. I sure hope we are not at the receiving end for the biggest upset of the year!

Rocket by 30 with the bench playing mid 3rd quarter!

Somehow I don't see Bev sitting out due to the flu. If anything, he'll body up on the player he's guarding and try to pass on his germs.

"Sorry bro, for breaking your knee last year *ARRRRRRCHOOOOOOOOOO*"

IF that happens the Rockets would be ahead in the lost column by one. Need this W tonight to make that happen.

So if the Sixers lose this game, they set the record for most losses in a row by any of the big 4 major professional leagues

And their next game after tonight is at home against the Pistons. They could actually avoid setting the all-time record.

This One Is in the Bag

Yes, I am coming out of deep lurkdom to simply say that there is no way the Rockets lose this game. Forget your queasy feelings and your "trap game" uneasiness. I do not think you understand how bad the 76ers are.

I am not one to be overly confident about the outcome of Rocket games. They can still be an inconsistent bunch, but there's just no way they are going to lose tonight.
