Jeremy Lin is a joke!!!!

Did you post Lin's assist stats when he played 46 minutes, the Rockets scored 118 points and Lin only had 1 assist? How about the time he played 39 minutes and had 1 assist? Seriously, an NBA point guard making 8+ million a year and only getting 1 assist in a game?

Incidentally, the Rockets are 6-1 when Beverley plays 15+ minutes a game and has 0 assists.

 

I can sum up how I feel about Lin in about a one minute span of the game last night. Around the five minute mark in the second quarter, he rips a steal at half court and drives in for a sick reverse in traffic. Awesome.

Then the next possession he drives into traffic, jumps and throws it right to the other team, and they score. Not awesome.

I feel like that's a microcosm of his play this season.

Seriously, an NBA backup PG leading the team in TO? in a total blowout?

 

Well he also lead the team in assists with 9.

 

I agree that he did play well. It's those flashes of great play that get my hopes up, followed by continued mistakes that get my blood pressure up.

 

If you've watched the games, Lin doesn't play as a PG when they have a full roster. His role this year (when everyone is healthy) is to be a backup to James Harden. He is viewed by the coaching staff as a playmaking SG.

In fairness, Howard and Harden are turnover prone also.

Parsons: 12%

Beverley: 10.8%
Lin: 19%

Dmo: 12.3%

 

Lin is the backup to both Beverley and Harden. The coaching staff views him(correctly) as a combo guard who can play both PG and SG, but doesn't excel at either one.

He's kind of starting to remind me of Steve Francis.

 

Wouldn't have LOHs if there were no LOFs.

 

Just one more season before this nightmare ends!

 

Guys, this is a team game. If the Rockets are going to go far into the playoffs, Lin is going to have to do well. Now is the not the time to be bickering. Its almost playoff time, EVERYONE has to bring their A game.

 

In fairness to Lin, Howard is only an 8 time all-star and Harden is only a 2 time all-star whereas Lin is a SUPERSTAR.

I'll admit it. I'm a LOH. The only reason I watch basketball is so that I can see Jeremy Lin fail.
