You are wrong. You are talking about the scenario where you extend your tax return from the prior year and are making payments on last year's taxes. That is one scenario. The other scenario is paying estimated tax payments on the current year. Pass through entities do this each and every year. That's your mistake, and the mistake made by the liberals who don't understand the tax system. I own businesses and have experienced this firsthand.

No, he is correct. Individuals required to make estimated tax payments may be assessed a penalty (computed on Form 2210), but the penalty can be avoided by paying in the safe harbor amount quarterly (100% of the prior year's tax, or depending on your income level, 110%). If Drudge's tax was only $10,000 for 2013 (which does not have any ACA penalty in it), he only needs to pay in $2,500 quarterly to avoid any underpayment penalty, assuming his safe harbor is 100% and not 110%. As long as he's 100% paid up on April 15th of next year, he'll have no penalties assessed.

You're right, single payer would be dramatically more efficient, as evidenced in every other developed nation.

You do realize that there are a LOT of wealthy and middle class Democrats, right?

It was this statement that clearly showed me you are delusional. ER visits by the uninsured is one of the HUGE sunk costs for hospitals, one of the reasons that hospital districts have had to be supported by taxpayers so that they wouldn't go out of business.

    Educate yourself.

Car insurance is mandatory for people who own cars. Health insurance should be mandatory for people who will eventually use the healthcare system in some way.

No, I'm not. You really should learn how the safe harbor for estimated taxes work. Like you, I pay these. Unlike you, I apparently know the rules.

So you are suggesting that if they do not have insurance and cannot pay their medical bill they should not get medical care right? After all, if they have heart attack or cancer, who is footing the bills?

Car insurance should be mandatory from the day you are born to help offset the costs of car insurance. It should be illegal to raise rates based on driving history and men and women should pay the same rate. It is discrimination against men that we pay higher rates for car insurance than women do. This is all part of the war on men!

This is a disingenuous line of thinking.

Well of course it is disingenuous. It was ridiculous.

However, I don't understand why it's fair to charge high users more for auto insurance but is discrimination to do the same for health insurance.

Same for life insurance. We need to regulate that. It's unfair that my life policy costs more than my wife's!

You do realize that 46% of those who made $100,000 or more voted for Obama, right?
