ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 3/11/2014

This game needs to get here. My expectations are way too high, unsuccessfully trying to temper them haha I want to win this for Bev and Harden.

 

I forgot about the collapse that happen last time the Rockets played Okc.

 

OKC flipped their defense button on us to cause the meltdown last time.

This time they don't have their major defenders in Safa and Perkins to make it happen. And they are still trying to get their house in order since RW's return.

The madder RW and KD get, the more porous their defense will be.

Our defense intensity and turnover will be the key to this game.

Whatever we learn from this game will be very helpful down the road to the finals.

I am predicting that we will win all the home games left against LAC, OKC and SA, plus all games against non-playoff teams.

I don't want to see too much physical clashes between PB and RW. We need PB and everyone healthy for all the games down the road.

 

i think if we win this and miami, we can do it big

 

I predict a fight or two and some ejections. Bad blood.

 

Another pay back game! OKC has had the Rockets number the past few games. Need to come out firing early and not get behind early in that arena. Careful with Fisher's flopping, Lamb getting off in the game, and Westbrook antics to get himself fired up. No Sepo and Perkins, need to take advantage of that.

 

watch that dirty scum fisher try and "set the tone" with some cheap ass shot.

 

yeah me 2. I'm pretty sure Westbrick's still mad about last year...unless Harden plays peacemaker. Hopefully none of our players get injured.

 

This is a game where we should go small a lot of the time.

Have Harden guard their PF Ibaka

Throw Hamilton / Parsons at Durant.

Basically come crunch time, role a line up of

wow... i can totally see that happening. Wouldnt be surprised if he throws that elbow at Bev's face. I think this game's gonna be physical, and it'll definitely have playoff intensity. Hopefully there's much better officiating this game than the last.

As long as we dont score 73 in the first half we'll be ok. 72 or 74 is ok, but NOT 73!

 

Not sure if you're serious but I am basically just stating the obvious....at least to me.

 

no i'm dead serious. sometimes what's obvious to the casual fans somehow escapes our coaching staff

 

Perkins is out for this game. If we want to win we need to go through Dwight who must be a force inside.

 

Win or lose, I wanna see Bev pops Westbrook in the face and wipes that smirk off.

I don't think he wants to mess with Bev :grin:

 

PatMan is not the hero Westbrook needs, but he is the hero Westbrook deserves.

 

Beating them would be great to add more to their current woes and instill some more doubts in the Durant-Wesbrook basketball compatibility. That can help precipitate Kevin Durant's decision to leave and people in the know tend to believe Houston is his preferred destination because of his privileged relationship with James Harden, on and off the court.

 

Yah, given that Bev has a broken nose I'm not sure that he wins that battle if it comes to exchanging pops in the face.

Getting hit in the face hurts a LOT more when your nose is broken...
