He does have potential, as evidenced by ESPN's Bradford Doolittle listing him as one of breakout candidates before this season: I think his minor struggle this season is more of Denver's changing environment. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/stor...re-drummond-part-stars-deserving-more-minutes
Didn't Charles Barkley call this guy "Two Sammiches," and say he'd be an effective NBA player if he would learn how to utter these two words, "I'm full"?
Upgrade over Garcia and I think he fits what the team wants to do better than garcia. More athletic and younger. Solid pick up as Brooks was not playing and I expect this guy to bump someone out of the rotation (Garcia).
One of the first thing I noticed from the highlight of one of his games is his mid-range and 3 pointers. We certainly could use the 3 pointers but his mid-range is wasted in Houston. :X
IMO, he's a more athletic, but less accurate Steve Novak. Someone else to throw out there at the swing spot, when Cisco and Casspi aren't getting it done.
He is shooting 35% at 6.9 attempts per 36. In his limited minutes 17.2mpg he averages 3.3 attempts. So he seems to stroke it. He shot 36% as a rookie and 37% last year. So he isn't elite, but he is an overly above average shooter from distance. Could be another hidden gem exposed in our system.
Ya from the highlight vid I would say his quickness on both offense and defense are below average. For reference look at a guy like Luol Deng slashing to the hoop or playing on ball D. This guy at his ceiling will be Marcus Morris part 2 for us. Stand in the corner and shoot dem threes. Hell, I like this move. Garcia has just not been cutting it this year.
Almost no chance of anything like that. A few deals are coming out of the woodwork. No way Parsons will be in one of them.
Watched him play at Texas. He was a low IQ shot chucker, kinda like Al Harrington. Has good length to play D but he was a real Me First type of player
