I admittedly havent seen him play AT ALL, but from what i understand he can be had for a 2nd rounder. Thoughts?

Hawes contract had little to do with talent and more to do with him being a rental, if he had 4 years left on his contract then the cavs would have given a first or something of greater value than what they currently have

EDIT:

Jammer sucks, theirs 1000 guys who can do what he does on a vet min, not a rookie scaling contract, for instance everyone's favourite viper Troy Daniels has been approached by 15 teams about joining for which he still is holding out.

Looks like CJ Miles and Alonzo Gee are headed to Philadelphia for Hawes.

This move has no impact on Asik's values. Hawes and Asik have completely opposite skill sets.

One of the downsides of trading Asik is that a lineup with DMo at center and Jones at PF does not have enough defense or rebounding. If we had Hawes as our backup we would have had the same problem.

Offense is not the problem. Do not need another offensive player. Need someone that can defend the perimeter.
