Something about Lin+Asik for Rondo tbh.

    I rather have Lowry tbh.

KL would be awesome as well. But Toronto has no need for our assets

    Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Trade: Houston Rockets trade Greg Smith (one year, $884,293) and Francisco Garcia (two years, $2.5 million) to New York for Iman Shumpert (two years, $4.3 million) and Cole Aldrich (one year, $884,293)

Could be something in the works!

Likely just an idea tbh. Remember Garcia has a no trade clause tbh.

    random thought....

Everybody says that Asik is a hard sell cause of the 15M poison pill... but seeing as only 8.3 is cap related... A team that is over the luxury tax could still benefit from trading for Asik to move a higher cap hit...

for example (and not suggesting/condoning this deal) Boozer for Asik/DMo/Brewer capwise would save the Bulls almost 5M... when you add in the luxury tax ramifications... they would surely save $$$$ - even payin the 'extra' 6.7M (15m - 8.3M) out of pocket to Asik... (similar scenario for Pau...)

It'd be nice if Bima (hint hint ;)) or somebody more versed than I would figure in the luxury tax ramifications for teams in lux tax land vs out of pocket expense of Asik poison pill...

Okay well if we rule out starters, then rule out Asik, Lin, Books, and Garcia that doesn't leave us with much to trade. We'd be left with DMo, Casspi, Greg Smith, Brewer, Canaan, and Covington

DMo has too small of a contract to trade him and get anything of value in return other than draft picks, Casspi is worthless, Greg Smith is worthless, Brewer is worthless and Canaan and Covington have very small contracts AND no real trade value.

Even if there's a trade, the Rockets won't be getting anyone in return worth a damn.

Would love to have 'Stone Cole' Aldrich back on the team. He averages 17 rebounds a game (per 36 minutes)! killer upside potential. Will fight Asik for minutes all year, for sure.
