Parson is penalized for speaking out the truth.

Why not? All threads are really about Lin. CH is just giving the people what they want.

It was obvious to me why Parsons was benched, he was playing horribly. No energy, bone-headed plays, lackadaisical.

Parsons was thinking about going to the SuperBowl, his mind wasn't on the game. I mean he was commiting silly TO's and just seemed disinterested. He looked like he was more interested in joking around and having fun than winning the game.

    He got what he deserved.

Well said. Not to mention lin played only 30 minutes tonight. Thats about normal whether co is playing 40 minutes or 20 minutes.

The using of one game to prove a point seems like a trend on clutchfans

I can't recall a time over the last 2 seasons where Parsons has been benched like that where injury wasn't involved. It was reminiscent of how McHale has handled Lin on many occasions. The lineup change worked but as many have said it's really about how it impacts the confidence level of Parsons. Parsons led the team in scoring the other day against Dallas, a tough opponent. Not everyone is as emotionally mature as Lin to handle being marginalized, to come back the next game and to produce results. I wonder if Morey is shopping Parsons and Asik instead of Lin and Asik. Morey did say that the Rockets lacked that 3rd star and that had to sting Chandler a bit.

Just maybe Morey has instructed Mchale to showcase Lin & Doughnut before trade deadline to build up interest for them.

Lin didn't even play 30 min. Basically McHale chose to leave Harden and Bev longer in game, and Chandler's minutes were eaten by Harden Bev and Casspi

Exactly! When he benched Parsons he whispered in Parsons ear "The ball is less sticky with you on the bench."

The truth is, Lin and Parsons are both just innocent victims of McHale's feud with Morey. Let's not read too much into it.

thread title sounds like an epic period piece novel adapted for the big screen by a major Hollywood director.

    can we make that happen?

Lin played 29:11 minutes, it's a bare minimal difference.

Plus, the Rockets needed a guy to slow down Irving and Beverley took on that task. His minutes basically matched Irving's.
