any chance we see covington get good minutes?

 

I'd love to see some Covington. Maybe if we have a pretty big lead?? His shooting stroke looks great to me - right up there with AB. Does he have more to his game? I really don't know his game yet.

 

if the rockets win, i will give 10 bucks to the tipjar. someone hold me to that.

I don't see Calderon/Ellis being able to contain anyone, so Lin could easily go off if he's in ATTACK mode.

 

not a good match up. rockets LOSE. it is true though that mavs do not play D. but rockets can not contain Dirk.

 

Please give Covington some minutes. I been wanting him to take Garcia's regular rotation minutes anyway.

Don't mean to be too hard on Harden but a sore thumb is taking him out? For consecutive games? Is the thumb really that sore? Just sounds really off to me. I get trying to rest him up and maybe he is also trying to heal up some other injuries as well, but this is a huge game. As good as it looks to go 3-0 against the Spurs, it would hurt much more to go 1-3 against the Mavericks, a team we should be 2-1 if not 3-0 against before tonight's game. The Mavericks aren't far behind us in the standing. This isn't an injured Spurs team without Splitter, Green and Leonard in which Harden isn't totally needed. Mavericks are healthy and want this game.

Again, I don't mean to sound sour and question Harden's injury or whatever. But, if it's really just a sore thumb, then I'm kind of disappointed in him. When you have so many players already missing games for various injuries, Asik excluded, I would want my star player to "suck it up" sort to speak and play with some nagging injuries. It's not like a sprained ankle or broken wrist or fingers, it's a sore thumb. Beverley came back from a broken hand early, Lin and Parsons have played with nagging injuries namely back spasms, and Howard hasn't missed a game yet. Just a kind of disappointing.

 

Took longer than I thought.

 

Why couldn't we start the game at 7?....

 

Sorry to see Harden out. Hopefully we don't need him. This is a team sport, so hopefully everyone contributes to another win as last night.
