    Agree,Bev is no Chris Paul.
He is just a Slight Upgrade over Lin defensively, though he sucks on offense
    Trades needs to happen

Vote Kyle Lowry in the All-Star game

Kyle Lowry should be in the NBA All-Star in New Orleans this year...

    16 PPG 7 APG 4 RPG

In 38 games this year he only had 4 games where he did not score 10 points or more

He did play for the Rockets 2 years ago -- #SMDH had beef with McHale

Bev is garbage and Lin is just ok

Great news, a defensive presence on the perimeter finally.

You obviously watch the games with rose colored glasses. Lin has been as inconsistent as ever and has inconsistent as the rest of his teammates.

If Lin starts the team will start slow again and the bench will struggle again.

Bev starts, Lin goes to the bench. It is the only move.

Bev has shown more courage with his small 6 foot 1 inch frame than our more talented players.
I feel he will come out with energy and toughness. The rest of our players need to follow his example. He won't give up, and neither should they.

Totally agree, if Patrick Beverly is the reason for our struggles we have big problems, he is no All-Star.

That's kind of a funny quote. Pat does not suck on offense and he is more than just a slight upgrade on defense.

Beverly is a true full court press defender who creates a tremendous amount of havoc for the other team. Jeremy certainly is an improved defender but certainly not on Beverly's level. Teams typically use up more shot clock getting the ball across the mid court line when Pat is in the game. To Jeremy's credit he has stopped cheating passing lanes and started playing more honest defense. As a result his steals are down but I think he is a much better defender then he was a year ago.

Jeremy is better at running the offense than Beverly but Beverly's Assist to Turnover ratio is better than Lins. Lin is an elite finisher at the rim (I sure wish he was more assertive doing this) but both hit .333 on their 3pt shots. Both take almost the identical number of 3pt shots per game and play almost identical number of minutes per game. Jeremy gives you about 4 more points a game because when he goes to the rim he is elite while Beverly is improving, but average.

Lin is one of those players that could be a 50/40 guy if he just had more confidence in himself but you can see him lose his assertiveness when his 3pt shot is not falling or a defender presses him up the court. I think Jeremy has the skills to be close to an elite scorer in the league but much like Chase Budinger, he lacks the mental make up.

I'm glad Beverly is back and hope it doesn't take to long for him to get back into the grove.

Thank the Lord there's something positive on the horizon.

Finally get our best perimeter defender back. And can finally bring Lin off the bench and fix our atrocious 2nd-squad.

    Win/win.

Do you have the stats on team defense Bev vs Lin, Because it doesn't seem like we've won any more games with Bev than we did with Lin.

If we are putting our hopes on a player that is barely adequate for coming off the bench on any NBA team, this team can't even think of contending for a championship.
Beverly has become like Hayes. He was barely a NBA reserve, and people on this board thought he was an all-star.

We really need an starting PG!

Lin is shooting 33% of his threes, but he has done poorly aside from that one game we lost versus the 76ers. He shot 9-15 of his threes and has hit 28.7% of his threes the rest of the season.

It will be good to have Bev back to improve our horrible bench.

    Don't doubt McHale.

But I agree with your Mr. Sherlock, against elite PGs like Damian on his first night back, max is 30mpg. I mean the PG plays 35mpg-40mpg tops. Bev should be on them 25mpg at the max, cause he's a neutral to negative impact on O.

25 of the 35 minutes Damian plays is when Bev is on him, then Damian will be shut.

Plus playing Bev these atrocious minutes has a diminishing value on his defensive intensity.

He's a 15-25mpg player, even if starting, no more.
