I just made a black-eyed-pea dip with onions, jalapenos, mushrooms, bacon and lots of various spices. So good when it's warm.
Hahaha, religious food? I just don't like the taste (or texture) of beans. And lentils have no distinct taste; they taste like whatever you cook them with.
winner. my mum is able to find these in houston  i'll have to find out where. fried egg on toast with heinz on top mmmm
Para el año nuevo mi cuñada se avento unos pinches frijolasos con queso y chorizo que puta madre. Taste so good make you wanna slap yo mama!
Wow I had no idea there were more of us in existence. My whole life I was chastised by family and friends for my birthright hatred with beans. All beans. The only beans worthy of an intestine ride is green. I always have and probably always will hate beans. The texture, the tastes, the end result. I've yet to find one redeemable quality about beans. As soon as I take a bite into something that I've ordered that mistakenly has beans on it.. My day is ruined. Violent thoughts formulate. I start to imagine kicking down the KFC kitchen door and sabotaging every bit of their bean supply in one big vicious beanocide. My taste buds immediately detects that ****. I wish I didn't hate beans as much as I do.. but if they didn't blow so much donkey dong it wouldn't be an issue. Go green.
No, sir. It seems like you either haven't had them on their own or only have tasted them a certain way. If you blindfold me and give me Lentils and Beans (pintos, red, kidney, etc.), I can tell you which one's which. And, yes, MoonDoogg is right... Lentils are mostly enjoyed by many during the Lenten seasons.
I like beans on tostadas, sopes, tortas, everything! and my mother makes sweet baked beans, with ketchup, they are so great!
WTH? "Moyetes" are like "conchas" but in the Rio Grande Valley. What you showed in your picture is a 'huarache', which is like an open 'gordita.' These both latter ones have beans.
That is bread in the picture not a corn pancake or anything. I mean I trust you all things Hispanic, but google molletes and this is all you get. Sort of a Mexican version of beans on toast.
I said that lentils don't really have a distinct taste (i.e. they are very bland unless seasoned), I didn't say they tasted like beans. The fact that they don't taste like beans is why I like them. I've definitely had lentils on their own. I ate them as a side dish for meals at least 3 times a week for more than a year. Continue your beaner ways. Less for me, more for you.
Yes, they do. Lentils taste like lentils. Peas taste like Peas. BEANS taste like beans. Make your own lentils thread. Bandwagoner, I gotcha. I didn't see that it was "raised" bread. I thought it was a flat huarache.
