They eat dogs in lots of places including European countries, a lot of European countries eat whales too (Norway, Iceland etc.) although the Western media will have you believe they are only eaten in Asia.
Not only racist stereostypes, but also trying to insinuate Lin as being gay whenever he is pictured being friendly with any team mate. Not surprising when the media also tries to perpetuate lame stereotypes, when the very few times a Asian man appears on a TV show, it's normally some cameo where he's negatively portrayed as some camp gay, pitiful nerd or kung fu gangster, etc. I know all I'm going to get is some patronising, "oh look, victim complex" type comment, but that's the reality of how the media tries to portray Asians. Just shows how backwards and ignorant America is in regards to viewing Asians. Asians make up one of the largest demographic in the World and increasingly they control more and more of the World's economy, so maybe the belittling of Asians is a reaction out of being threatened. Whatever it is, it's a poor reflection on non-Asian Americans, not us.
