Would it have been possible to trade Asik before the season started ?

Just because Jimmer is kinda slow and white does not mean he's a bad player. Jimmer is pretty good player.

Lin is hardly a no-name. However, Harden is a star. McHale has to talk to Harden. He let Harden keep him in the game with 4 fouls mid 3Q. He lets Harden hog the ball and take idiot shots without calling him over and talking to him. Lin's stupidity is different than Harden's. Lin's stupidity on the offensive end is more making bad decisions and getting out of control or trying ill-advised home-run passes. Harden's is playing superman and ignoring his team. I find Harden's stupidity more unacceptable and also find Harden's lack of effort unacceptable. Lin gives the effort, Harden sails. Harden plays too many minutes so I was giving him a pass but he was sailing early on in the game.

Lin took 10 shots and scored 7. How many shots should Lin give up to Howard? Parsons threw up a ontested three in the 4th not to mention Harden's hero ball tosses.

Yeah all jokes and arguing aside, they need to figure it out, getting passed by the Suns, who have two former Rockets that we just threw away does not feel good.

Rockets were in a Christmas mood, so gave away games for free.

Superstars hit clutch shots and make wise choices Superstars don't jack up 3's when you just need 2 ..... Superstars get their teammates involved and understand it's just not about scoring ! Superstars play defense ..... Oh and most importantly Superstars are leaders off and on the court so NO Harden is not a Superstar but a star trying to figure out how to be a Superstar and the good thing is that he's still young. I love Harden but he stills has a lot to learn as does this young team.

Too many missed FTs. Parsons missed 4 in a row, as did Dwight, IIRC.

Poor shot selection in the last minute.

Good game to learn from, assuming we are capable of learning.

The Kings' PGs and Gay and Thornton looked All World tonight. SMH...

no the point is if the guard penetrates then Dwight's man is going to come over and then he should be available for easy baskets either on a pass or on the boards (see jones). but howard doesn't move well without the ball if he's not the focus of attention.

everything has a purpose. Dwight's presence is enough to open lanes for the guards. if harden and lin etal are successful at penetrating and getting to the rim, there's no reason to stop. it's the chucking of 3 pointers without getting the ball inside first that I have issues with. you can always chuck 3 pointers with the clock winding down. again, I am not disagreeing with feeding the post man. you have rose colored glasses when looking at Dwight. there's a ton he can still do and getting paid 20M a season he should be doing.

Lin and Smith. Isn't PnR a staple of basketball? We don't screen either much, that's part of BB too to set guys free to receive the pass through ball movement. There's was one stretch of ball movement, maybe when the bench was in but too bad it was fleeting.

Hometown boy, loved being in Houston. Was cheap, we threw him away. Goes to Pacers then Suns and beasts.

I really didn't see Howard call for the ball too much in the 4th. Also, Harden had the ball the most in the 4th and never looked Howard's way. Howard was missing FT today, so if they threw it in he was getting fouled.

I guess I'm saying when he gets the ball, look for his shot a little more. Lin is good at getting to the line but it didn't happen tonight.

Btw, we saw Omer on the sidelines tonight. He seemed interested in the game.
