Brooks is a damn liability letting Jimmer score so many points at the start of the 4th. I mean, really, Jimmer?!

and that is part of the problem. coaches can have an impact on players' discipline and effort but its the leader(s) on the team that imparts the level of play to others on the team.

if you have player(s) that are going to look for their own shots only, you are going to have other players that once they get the ball are going to look for their own shots. then everyone is going to start looking for their own shots.

if you have a player(s) that are looking to pass the ball, then everyone is going to look to pass the ball.

superstars can win games by making sure "chemistry" and "flow" do not get buried under "ego" and "stats". just take a look at how KG, Pierce and Allen won their title despite all three of them having below career high statistics. that's how it should be, and of course the coach plays a huge factor in getting these players to mature into this kind of thinking.

This should be sorted out with the team only, behind closed doors.

Parsons should not be the team captain purely from the point of view that he has repeatedly made stupid public comments. Lin is the most diplomatic public speaker of the lot and evryone should learn from him.

And hell no, Harden aint no leader. Probably fled the locker room without giving an interview like he usually does.

+ I'm sick of McHale's "sticky ball" comments.

The Suns just took 5th seed. Rockets now 6th. For all the arguing back and forth on Clutchfans, things are starting to get serious, we are dangerously close to 8th seed, moves need to be made now. New Coach? Asik trade? Fortifying the bench, something needs to be done.

This is his standard line whenever we screw up the end of the game particularly against bad teams -- that we should have been better at the start.

I mean, sure, but that shouldn't mean we look past our lack of execution down the stretch. Against good teams, you have to be able to finish out close games. Do we really want to just rely on ISO and pray those contested shots Harden takes falls through?

History keeps repeating again and again when it comes to the end of a close game for almost every close game played this season. If the same mistake happens again and again, then there must be something wrong.

The problem is why we can't fix it by now. It is understandable that no team can win all close games every single time. If we do everything right (supposed to do) in a close game but still lose it, that is sad but fine. Nobody will be blamed even we don't like it.

However, as said, if you lose close games by repeating the same mistake(s) again and again and that is not right. Perhaps some people may have to be blamed for losing it Therefore like it or not, it is understandable why some fans here are mad and blame player(s) and the coach.

if haren hits another quick pullup 3 or drives and scores, The he is the hero once again. but he didnt and choked. He is a superstar in this league and he should have the ball in his hand. Thats what hes paid for. Just like kobe, mj, and nowadays lebeon. Rox biggest issue is of course no bench, but also stopped feeding dwight. he needs the ball consistently to get into a groove. i also dont get mchale's strategy here. close game and exciting. happy new year to all!

The problem is when the Rockets ARE actually passing the ball...it is going nowhere. It's not like Harden and the ISO is breaking up Phil Jackson's triangle or Adelman's motion offense here.

All we do is ISO and it is not just Harden. We play a game about just being better than the other team. Either Parsons/Lin/Harden beats their man, draws attention, and kicks it out to a shooter...or Howard posts up...gets a double...and kicks it out...

Those are our plays to get easy shots... Easy for a team to stop unless guys are just playing well that night.

If the Rockets keep losing to the "bottom feeders" they are going to become a "bottom feeder." A few more of these and we are going to be in the ninth position, out of the play offs and ready to get the fourteenth pick in draft. Wake up time!

That guy is underrated....a lot of people mocking him, he just landed on a bad team that doesn't let him minutes. Not saying anything but just saying something.......

Lol...and if Dwight is posted up asking for the ball you give it to him and still get 'Penetration'.

Harden ball hogging makes everyone else cold. McHale needs to reign him in. This team has plenty of other weapons, but the general stubbornness of going through Harden is going to cost this team more than it should.

I agree 100 % enough of the "it's just one game" and "it's still early" comments it's getting close to the half ways point and this team is still searching.

No one sets the tone around the basket better today than Dwight Howard.
