Yup most people underestimate what a good coach can do for a player's development. Tony Parker would have been a fireball PG and known for his inconsistency and no jumper if it wasn't for pop. Can you imagine what Westbrook can be if he had pop as a coach?

I get it now, but I still don't see that as enough for them to accommodate Melos wishes. If Melo is gone, then Asik/Lin/whatever else aren't worth the taxes NY would have to pay for a team that will not compete.

Surprise, surprise! After reading endless trade Lin posts since the end of last season, why change of heart? Account hacked?

LOL You and larsv8 have the same agenda but on the opposite ends of spectrum.

Please don't assume what others think and only speak for yourself! Melo is more likely to stay than opt out.

Was it rockets asking the nets or the other way around? I thought the nets balked because pp and kg wanted to play with deron.

This just confirms that Asik and Lin are not in the Rox long term plans. This could be BOTH their last seasons with the Rockets.

Incase everyone forgot, teams cater to their stars. Ask D12 if he would want DWill. Do people forget their really good friends and D12 wanted to play with DWill in Brooklyn before he got traded to the Lakers. Is DWill worth 100 million though? Would Lin turn NY upside down with Prokorov rubbing it in Dolans face? Hell yeah!

It seems so unreal at a time when DWill is seen on par with CP3

His defense may not be great but offensively D-Will is a beast. He is very tricky, great with and without the ball.

If the Nets can't win, would they trade for Lin to try to pinch some Knicks fans? Possible.

Could this force the Knicks to trade Melo earlier than risk losing him for nothing then having Lin play in Brooklyn while they feature Tyson Chandler and Amare Stidemire? Possible.

Do the Rockets really want Derons Williams? Probably not. Just keverage I would guess. His contract is looking like the second incarnation of his teammate Joe Johnson's.

    I'd make this trade.

It's a gamble because I'm not sure DWill is worth the max, but the upside is too high to decline.

Perhaps DWill can stop the Harden ISO? PNR w DWill and Dwight would be mighty nice.

it would be a fools gold team tbh. No bench and no stretch 4 which is our BIGGEST concern.

Dwill can't win with Joe Johnson(Harden), Brook Lopez(Dwight), and vets like KG and PP. How is this guy going to bring us a chip? He's never been a winner anywhere.

Nets: We'll give you Blatche, Kirilenko and the rights to that foreign player we have for Asik.

Morey: Lulz. The only thing on your roster I could want is Deron Williams. I'll take all that crap you offered, plus Williams, for Asik, Lin and Montiejunas.

    Nets: ...

    Morey: Didn't think so.

would rather have Lin handling the ball more vs bringing in dwill on that contract

At this point Lin can do most of what dwill do, he is also faster and more athletic. A younger d.will yes but not this older guy that has proved he can't win
