I think Chris will do well in the NFL and now he has the luxury to be coached by an NFL QB coach for a few years while he learns a new system. This was an excellent pick by the Bucs

I am a Sooner fan but I can tell you that M Brown is not a bad coach and his offensive co-ordinator(s) though not top class are not bad either.

We all know the problem - "the golden boy" is just overrrated and over pampered - he just does have the clutchness his dad possessed. Maybe he can turn it around in the NFA under 'The Grudens' who we know are excellent coaches and motivators. Here is wishing him all the best.

Also, scouts were saying he couldn't hit receivers in stride, which something I've always noticed about Simms. Remember in the Colorado game in the first half, before he gave the game to the Buffs, he threw a pass to B.J. Johnson running about 3 yards in front of the db down the sideline and he underthrew him. B.J. had to stop to make the catch and was tackled. He came to the Texas sideline with a furious expression on his face. The guy has a nice arm but he has a lot to work on.

Maybe Thomas Gruden can bring it out of him but I don't know.

Man, this gloating-turned-commentary on Simms sure feels one-sided without TheCat. Maybe I can help him out:

... On not hitting his receivers in stride: Totally not Simms' fault. His receivers are the ones who are wrong, wrong, wrong. If they had only just developed psychic powers and read Simms' mind, they could've gone to the correct spot where he was going to throw the ball.

... On being overrated and overpampered: It's hard growing up rich. Give the guy a break. Look, he's not the Messiah. Rather, he's the Messiah's little brother. There is a difference, you know.

Hey, I'm just having a little fun...

My thoughts on Simms are known so I don't need to rehash it, but it's not all Greg Davis, and Vincent Young and/or Chance Mock will prove it.

IF Simms makes the roster then, for his sake, I hope he holds the clipboard for three years, at least. He is definetly not NFL ready. Will he ever be? Maybe, but not soon.

Ron Jaworski says the Simms will be in the Pro Bowl in 4-5 years. Playing that is.
