It's actualy not that bad a deal, bass and Lee can help this team, my only gripe is their committed future salary. But my god some think short of Kevin Durant and a 2nd round pick we aren't getting equal value. it's crazy

If I remember correctly, Morey sign and traded Lee for cap clearing reasons and because Boston (or so they thought) was a contender at the time that could use Lee's services.

well boston got old in a hurry and floundered. he never got to see a contending boston squad that would have used him in his perfect role.

No 2014 pick, No Deal. Daryl would Rather just squat on Asik.

I am going to be nice and not tear you a new one for going full "WE TA TED" mode on all of Clutchfans.

I don't need to explain why Morey is a great GM. But do me a favor and think to yourself, what did Houston give up to get a top 5 player in the league.

Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and a late first rounder.

    Boom!

No he won't. The person in that video is not the person we would be getting.

It's funny how I get laughed at by multiple posters for saying Lee is a good defender last night, but now that we're trading for him he's good at D.

With this trade the team just got better. If you add anything that can contribute for the cost of a player that is not contributing then you got better. How much better is yet to be seen.

You guys crack me up always against Morey. Remember when he traded our starting pg for a backup pg named Kyle Lowry? Oh the outrage. Remember when he traded our former starting pg for a backup pg and a 1st round pick and that backup pg soon became our starting pg? I can do this all day, but I'll just do one more since it is somewhat relatable. Remember when he wanted to trade Courtney Lee for Asik and people thought he was crazy because Asik wasn't that good and only averaged like 15 minutes per game? He ended up shrewdly getting Asik for NOTHING and now he is possibly going to trade him for Lee, another player and a 1st round pick. Oh the outrage!

... why? or did you just say that to say something.. he will be 30 when his contract is up and is 28 now.

he's the same player he's always been. and that was always solid. two ways, and athletic. dunno what more you want from a backup SG

Not a good deal if it shapes out as reported by Wojo and Mannix

Like much more than Brewer and Jones? I don't get it the reasoning behind you guys. I mean come'on, we don't have to trade Asik by Dec. 19? He is a freaking premier C in this league, there is a premium for that. Lee and Bass? For what?

Lakers checked in on Houston, which is determined to trade disgruntled center Omer Asik before Thursday. But nothing ever got serious
