If the pick isn't 2014 I'll soften my stance that this is a good trade.

That said, with all of this information being leaked. Other teams know what the price to play is. They know they have to beat this deal in order to get Asik. That is a good thing on the negotiation front with other teams.

I think it'd be worth a shot if we weren't able to get a pick in next year's draft. That Bass/Lee thing floating around cant be true.

do not trade for players that are untradable...and also dwight will not have a backup...he will get hurt due to fatigue if he keeps play 40 mins a night...id rather keep Asik

Was told earlier in the week the Rockets would like a 2014 first rounder for Asik, but it wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker.

I assume he means with Bass and Lee

these people are starstruck. they want another huge splash.

they overrate Asik horribly, as well. dude can't even get rebounds unless they fall within 2 feet of him. he has no tracking ability.

 

I like Morey but y'all only see what y'all wanna see, rockets actually had a better chance of making the playoffs when dragic was on his little run in 2012 than we did last year. They just feel apart the last 10 games & got 9th seed.

We were 8th seed last year so don't throw that word CONTENDER around until we actually prove something that's not on paper, we're a 5-6th seed now with teams hot on our trail that made no big free agency moves this summer

 

I don't know why Morey feels he owes the Celtics so much.

I would be happy with this trade.
Things to keep in mind guys.
Asik is not playing, he is hurting the team mentally, and he isn't on the court.
We are basically getting 2 new established veterans on the team for something we weren't using and was hurting us.
Bass can hit the free throw jumper, expect a lot of Hi Lo big man play like he(Howard) did with Gasol.
Lee is a better defender than Garcia and has been known to hit the 3.
This will give us depth, with Jones coming off the bench, and Lee coming off the bench.
