I'd love to see Wroten and Hawes in our starting line-up. Wroten's a cheap-contract, long, athletic, 6'6" PG, and MIP candidate at age 20, despite limited minutes behind MCW. Hawes would be a great stretch 4 next to Dwight, and could back Dwight up. Bev and TJ could be great energy guys off our bench-- as starters, they're good, sometimes great, but prone to fouling. Guess it comes down to how Hinkie wants to configure his team-- he knows what Asik and Lin can do. Asik and Lin are probably slightly better overall players than Hawes and Wroten, but Hawes and Wroten might fit better here. And Asik and Lin might fit better there.

My bet's on draft pick(s) and an expiring. More of a Lowry-type deal than getting an actual contributor. Then we'll eventually flip those for something else.

There's been a lot of talk about Millsap, but will he be able to guard the taller forwards in the West like LMA & Dirk? I mean, when those guys get hot they can pretty much be unstoppable, but thowing Cassipi out there to guard those guys is just embarrasing. I don't think we need a strong offensive player but rather a tall, defensive-minded player who is not going to clog up the paint like Asik. AV sounds like he could be a good fit although I don't know too much about him other than a few things I've read recently.

Fortunately, we have one of the best GM's in the league who I trust will make the right move.

I think the real shame in all of this is that Asik would have been really nice to have coming off the bench or when the matchup favored a TT line-up. It's too bad that his ego seems to have gotten in the way so that he'd rather start for a crap team than come off the bench for a potential contender.

They wouldn't but I would take an Asik for MKG and salary filler trade straight up. Absent a jump shot, MKG is an incredible talent

Houston trades Omer Asik, Ronnie Brewer, and future second round pick

    for

Anderson Verejao, Alonzo Gee, and Kings 2014 1st round top 12 protected pick

Morey gets a solid backup center in Verejao allowing T Jones to stay in starting lineup. Picks up a solid bench player in Gee whose on an expiring contract, and gets the 1st round pick he wants. Morey asset collecting for a bigger move at the trade deadline.

Houston will swap Asik for Milsap

Or he is 76ers bound for Hawes

    Either or, nothing else.
