Incorrect, Harden was out for 3 games because of his left foot. He didn't suit up again until the game that followed the Hawks which is the game Lin had gotten injured in.

What the hell? Pick and roll? Is that a shot at Howard, are they basically calling each other out?

That's what the quote looks like and Howard and Mchale are apparently on the same side. See how Mchale called out Harden on 790:

I don't know Mchale has called out Harden this publicly before. He used to deflect this kind of question by replacing "He" with "We."

Notice that pick-and-roll is in parentheses. Meaning, he probably didn't use that word himself, and was responding to a question by the reporter.

We don't need another thread on Harden's defense. We know it is a problem.

Away from the ball Harden is not in defensive position (low to the ground) and he is ball watching..losing his man. So when he closes out he is already at a disadvantage and when his players makes a cut or flashes to the corner Harden has no idea and is beaten already.

It is positioning and his defensive posture combined with the inability to stay engaged 100% of the time. When the ball is in front of him, he can stay in front of his man if he is in position.

P.S. There is so much hate on this message board.

Why would it be a shot at Howard? There is NO reason to believe that is a shot at Howard.

Stop using We, We, We, be more specific. Or just use I. Show some leadership, show the Rockets fans why you earn your big dough

It's not entirely about the winning percentage or overall record, is it...? It's about the cohesion of the team... and a collective and palpable desire to win against all odds... as a team... It's no wonder that the only Rockets teams that so endeared themselves to the fans since the glory years, to where they'll always keep a fond memory of them, despite not winning it all or even being close to, were the 2004-05 Rockets and the 2008-09 Rockets...

I can see why they are so displeased. Both Jeremy and Parsons have had bad games before but they never stop giving effort in trying to play the right way. I don't want to single out Harden but what happened yesterday was just disgusting to watch. Standing 35 feet away from the basket uninterested while your teammates basically play 4 on 5 is inexcusable. Taking three after three when you're not hitting any and the Suns lacking much, if any, rim protection just bad. I get that there are going to be games when you just don't have your shot but that should never affect your effort.

And I just hate that everytime he has a bad game, he escapes before the media can ask him questions. Dude, it's okay to have bad games every once in awhile but own up to it. It's almost like he wants the pressure on him until he fails then it's on someone else to explain why we lost. I think he needs an attitude adjustment.

I completely agree on this. He is putting his teammates down.

So many people hales his offensive, but did you see that Cassipi refused to pass the ball to him after his tentative back door cut, a turnover. Did you guys ever remember that in the Utah game, he passed the damned ball to Cassipi when Marvin was in front of cassipi already. It is not even Marvin wanted the steal, it is like the ball hit Marvin, :-(

All these plays have been so disgusting and totally ruined my night.

that was when he had everything to prove, right now he has nothing to prove since he is the #1 sg in the league

on top of that, that offensive foul on kobe was a flop on harden's part lol, but harden did play great D throughout that game
