Wait 8-0 run w/o Harden but gets subbed in and it disappears. Am I missing something?

Rockets have a talented bench. We should not be getting scrubbed at home by the suns with harden and Howard both healthy. Dwight was good tonight, not great. Harden was trash. Stank trash.

No heart. No hustle. He sets the tone for the team and he doesn't seem mature enough to realize that.

Mchale makes questionable decisions and doesn't seem to hold his team accountable.

Morey needs to make a trade and shake this **** up. Force mchale a hand like last year.

Fixed it for you. This team beat the Spurs on the road without Lin.

No Parsons and they can't even beat scrub teams.

Rockets can win games without Harden, they've won games without Lin, but they don't win games without Parsons.

Any player can have off nights. That includes Harden too. I think McHale did the right thing bringing Howard and Harden back in the 4thQ. I think any coach in the NBA would do that if the coach trusts his players.
But dayum, 0-10 from downtown. Ain't that some kind of record?
I still feel that Harden played too many minutes against scrub teams. McHale needs let bench players play. It's not a playoff game. Coach needs to pace the players for playoff success. A win in this kind of game doesn't mean anything if your star players play 40+ minutes. It just shouldn't happen.

Bev will never be a scorer his career high is 19 pts AB scored 17 pts but off 18 shots horrible. Lin and Parsons need to get healthy quick

Not for nothing, but Bev is the one who should be worried. He doesn't run the offense, I'd trust AB more to shoot the 3, and opposing PGs are going off on him.

I've always thought Parsons was overrated this season.

Now I am not so sure.

    Could have used him tonight.

I remember Lin saying that Parson is really good. Any 3v3 scrims they ran that has Parson on it will win

Folks have consistently underestimated the impact of Parsons and Lin on the offense.

Even when they aren't shooting well, their ability to drive, cut, pass and move off the ball impact the game in ways that don't always show up on the box score.

Parsons is consistently able to take his man one on one when driving. Lin forces entire defenses to collapse when he drives. Lin often finds himself facing 2 and 3 defenders in the paint because they know his driving game is so effective.

Without that extra defensive attention to Parsons and Lin, Harden becomes a glorified PG -- one who is only average when you look at it in terms of team facilitation. So when they load up on him in the lane, and face up on him with a long defender he becomes significantly less effective.

That's not a knock on Harden, it's just who he is. He drives to the lane and either tries to score or kick to the corner. Take away the drive with packed paint and he becomes a jump shooter. Put a long defender on him as well, and he struggles to even get the ball as he doesn't play off the ball well.

There were several times when Tucker was bodying the passing lane to Harden, but Harden didn't move off the 3 point line. He could have cut and gotten a pass, or cut across the lanes to attempt to force either switches or confuse the defense. However, that's not his game.

Once the ball is out of Harden's hands, you're left with Casspi, Garcia, Bev and Brooks attempting to create offense. None of them are on Parsons or Lin's level when it comes to creating shots for team mates.

Brooks can score. Beverley can defend. Neither of them is particularly good at taking advantage of their drives to create team offense outside of a basic kick to the corner.

Hoping that Parsons and Lin get well soon or teams are just going to play Harden the same way. Harden's elite as a scorer, but like any scorer, if you play the right defenders and play him the right way you can shut him down, especially when his jump shot is off.

Harden and Howard should have asked to be taken out of the game if they were to cruise. The bench could have taken care of business if H&H weren't on court. For all the bad mouthing about DMo before the game, I sure hoped him play more because he looks pretty good in limited minutes.

Don't tell me we don't have better players than Channing Frye, Miles Plumlee, PJ Tucker, and the Morris twins even with Lin and Parsons sitting out.

It wasn't the guys that were missing but the guys that were playing
(Or at least were on court...)
It wasn't about the scoring, it was about the effort
    (Or lack thereof...)

    Ugly, anti-Rocketlike game.

    Hard to watch, really...
