I'm 25. Recently moved into my own apartment. Not planning to buy a TV or computer or have internet (using my phone to post this). So far all I've been doing is laying in bed, being tired from work. I do work out. I need something new though. Something interesting to do. A skill I can develop. Keep in mind, I don't have a lot of money yet. I need something that won't exhaust me. What do y'all think. Thanks.
Play a musical instrument (by yourself or in a band/ensemble). Read a book. Build a model. Do yoga. Jog in a park. Read clutchfans.
You'll need at least a CPU or TV or iPad, but get a netflix account. Or read books, take on cooking, write a thesis paper in the GARM based on Harden's defense.
Here are a couple of ideas off the top of my head: learn an instrument, take up photography, improve your basketball game (assuming you play), or take up cycling by picking up a road bike or mountain bike and replace some of your gym days with cycling. I'm interested in what others have to say.
Disc golf is cheap and fun. But it's difficult, and since it's free to play it might consume your life.
There are literally thousands of things you could do, but most everything outside of TV and Internet, require energy. That's why TV and Internet are so popular. If you spend massive amounts of time at home, then a tv and internet are almost essential. Maybe you could join a book club, and that would kill two birds with one stone. You could make friends that you could hang out with and when you are at home, you could read books.
If only there were an all knowing power that housed the collective knowledge of humanity that could be accessed by typing six letters. . .
