Big test for Howard tonight, let's see if he can be the teams difference maker vs the spurs and live up to the hype of us getting him in FA. see a lot of people posting like this is the same rockets team from recent years, remember we have Howard now ?

Asik will/should get some meaningfull playingtime aginst the spurs big frontline as well. Our defensive rebounding which has killed us needs to be good because you cant give a machine like the Spurs second and third opportunites.

Man the Spurs are just so much better than their roster, which is damn scary by itself.

gonna be a difficult game with Lin being injured who loves playing the Spurs.
Be curious to see what can DH12 do against Timmy.
Spurs are clearly the better side though it doesn't mean we cant pull it off.

If spurs play splitter and Duncan.. We could play asik/howard and I think it will be successful. If they do a bonner or diaw with a big... well that's what jones could help with.

I think our concern will not be with the frontline but with the offball defence of the wings. Harden had trouble with players who run off screens and can shoot so there needs to be more communication and awareness on the defensive end.

If we can stay close to their shooters on defence, our bigs should be able to handle their bigs on the defensive end. This is the big IF of the game imo

Also contain tony parker, he's turned into a rocket killer lately

Tony Parker is everyones killer. After Paul he is the second best PG in the league.

Give me Tony Parker over Chris Paul 7 days a week.

Parker might be the most underrated player in the NBA. The dude destroyed Chris Paul last year, and still doesn't get the respect he deserves. Chris Paul can't get past the 2nd round but he is considered the best pg in the NBA.

Meanwhile Parker is playing with a 40yr old Tim Duncan and still leading his team to the WCF.

    Parker>Paul

Unfortunately 39 yr old Duncan is still an Allstar or close to one.

If Parker was an American, he would be considered the best PG in the league.
