The win had everything to do with Casspi/Asik playing and Dwight sitting on the bench. We stall our offense feeding Dwight the ball and feeding his ego. The minute he sits we can play Houston basketball.

Great win. Impressed mchale stuck with the bench. Can only hope he learns to use the bench more. We have a very deep team.

Best part of this win is that it prevents 'What' from trolling tonight.

Last 2 wins without Harden shows how talented this team is. Great comeback. Team showed a lot of guts.

Wow, Lin pretty much only played 3 qtrs but still logged 31 min. I thought he played only about 25 min or something.

Nah, if they had wanted to do that they would have hacked a Asik. Don't think that was on the cards.

Lin had some shotty defensive plays, but good to see that he used his quickness and hustled to get that steal & 3pt play at the top of the 3rd… this was where I thought the tone for the Rox started to change. Also, even with the slower pace, I like that he kept on trying to get into the paint to add to the free throw points which were really needed in this low scoring & bad 3pt shooting game. Without Harden, Lin was the only guard putting pressure on the Grizz to defend the lane in that quarter.

I liked the coaching adjustment to the full court press to start the 2nd half. They also immediately tried to push the pace, which resulted in some TOs, but also more points. In addition, defense from the end of the 3rd on was good, and Casspi & Asik played really well. I like this type of game which is more like the playoffs. This was a real test for the team to see if they could adjust to such a different style of play. The way the Grizz plays took Houston out of their normal offense… only 12 total assts all night. But credit to McHale for making adjustments at half time, and also keeping TJones, Howard, & Lin out and sticking with that lineup in the 4th. Every player contributed and things were spread around really well. It was ugly but McHale had the right changes and the players held their composure and didn’t panic into desperate ISOs. This was a really satisfying physical grind it out playoff style win, probably the best win so far this season to me. It showed that even without Harden, these players can win.
