It came out today. <HR> Vipers announce 2013-14 schedule September 5, 2013 MCALLEN, Texas – The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers today announced their 2013-14 schedule. This season’s schedule features a total of 50 games, with 24 home games at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, 24 games on the road and two games at the 2014 NBA Development League Showcase in Reno, Nev. The full 2013-14 season schedule can be found below and at www.rgvipers.com. The defending NBA Development League Champion RGV Vipers open the season on the road at Los Angeles on Nov. 23, followed by a road game at Bakersfield on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The Vipers kick off a four-game home stand on Friday, Nov. 29 against the Tulsa 66ers. Prior to tipoff, the Vipers will hold a Championship celebration with the presentation of the 2013 NBA Development League Championship banner and championship rings. The home stand will continue with games against Texas on Dec. 2, and games against the Delaware 87ers on Dec. 3 and 5. “We are excited to announce our 2013-14 schedule for our seventh season in the Rio Grande Valley. Last year, we brought another NBA Development League Championship home to the valley, and we set our expectations high once again this season,” Vipers president Bert Garcia said. Throughout the 2012-13 season, the RGV Vipers will host themed games honoring the Valley community. The first of the Vipers’ community games will take place Thursday, Dec. 19, when the Vipers host the Springfield Armor for the annual Kids Day Game. On March 29, the Vipers, along with the Cancer Center at Renaissance, will host the annual Hoops for a Cure game when the Vipers face the Texas Legends. For the fourth consecutive year, the Vipers will host the All-Valley Showcase on Saturday, April 5 prior to the last game of the regular-season against the Austin Toros. More community and theme-night games will be announced prior to tipoff of the regular-season. “Because of our loyal fans and partners, we are able to celebrate our seventh year in the Rio Grande Valley. It is important for the Vipers to honor our local community, and we are looking forward to announcing more community initiatives throughout the season,” Garcia said.
