He's playing really well right now, so this is selling high.

If the Lin/Harden experiment taught Morey anything, it's that Rondo is just a terrible fit next to Harden. This is not even considering he just tore his ACL and might not even be the same player.

Rondo just needs to pass/assist and defend, most of the scoring load will go to Harden, Howard, and Parsons/wings. I'm no medical expert, but his post-ACL injury can't hamper those aspects of his game too much, right? He's not a Derrick Rose who needs his explosion back to attack and score, that's not his playing style.

I would have though Lin fans would have jumped at this. Lin goes to Boston, gets to control that team in a big market and score heavily.Linsanity in the Garden should give all Lin fans a boner.

There's no question Rondo is a great player but I just don't think he fits. I really don't think he fits with Harden and Dwight. We already have the core pieces (Harden and Dwight). We just need to build around them.

Nah, it's not that simple. It's possible to like Lin and still think about what it means to the Rockets. You can do both.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Rondo is a superior passing PG to Lin. I still however am not super high on Rondo simply due to a long history of conflict with Doc Rivers and his team mates.

Here is the word from Ray Allen himself...

    http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/10/ray-allen-says-beef-with-rajon-rondo-began-in-2009/

    Then there's this...

    http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2013/06/22/rondo-f-bombed-rivers-two-almost-fought/

Rondo has issues. Lots of issues. Years of issues.

This is the guy you want in the locker room?

I would be just as pissed if my idiot front office disrespected me by trying to trade me for Amare... And yes I would love for him to be in this locker room, he has an edge something Harden and Howard don't have.

Ummm Dragic averaged 2.8 TO per game last season. Lin averaged 2.9 TO. Rondo averaged 3.9 TO's per game... 3.9!!! If we get Rondo on the Rockets, you're not just gonna dream of a Rockets team turning the ball over- you're gonna be having some serious nightmares! LOL

So what I guess you're proving here is that most of the people here on Clutch Fans supporting Lin are actually Rockets Fans who want what's best for the team and not actually LOH's. Good point Spiegel.

You would HAVE to make this deal. He would get Harden AND Dwight 25 a night and singlehandedly fix our defense, our toughness and our leadership issues.

Would love to keep Lin around as the stud 6th man...

I'm pretty sure that all of this noise was started by Rondo's camp. He's probably looking to get out of Boston, and sees Houston as a premiere contending destination given both Howard and Harden are here. And, his people are probably so ignorant of the Rockets' current situation (and Lin/Beverley in general) that they just assumed that the team would "love" to "upgrade" the PG position since they are aiming for a championship.

I'm betting they were hoping that the Rockets' front office would reciprocate and open up talks. Which is hilarious because out of all the front offices in the league, I'm betting the Rockets would be one of the least inclined to pick up a guy like Rondo in exchange for guys like Lin/Beverley.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics front office was also giving this story some extra burn, in the hopes of getting rid of Rondo for a true rebuilding core.

Your looking at the stats wrong though, Dragic and Rondo were both the primary ballhandlers, Lin was not. Rondo is going to have more turnovers because his team depends on him every single possession while Lin gets 2.9 playing off the ball half the time...

don't know but the funny thing is until lin gets traded there'll never be any peace on this board and once he's traded like a cat with 9 lives he'll be fine while like the knicks the rox will wonder if they should have traded him or not like they did the 1st time.
