    I thought Karl is against analytics, he felt once it preceded actual basketball knowledge/eye test type stuff-- it's gone too far.

    Plus, I defintely do not want him. He plays his "favorites" and causes drama. He holds grudges, is immature, and certainly not succesful at the playoff level.

    I'd like Stan or Lionel.

    If Jerry Sloan was ever hired as the coach of the Rockets, I'd have to reconsider my fandom. That's how much I hate his teams and dirty tactics. Hopefully it won't come to that.

    Clyde Drexler is a dark horse candidate for coach. He is a consummate professional.

    I also believe our assistant coaches were chosen by Morey instead of McHale. Is it fine with other coaches?

    A couple of notes on coaches:

    - It's team option on McHale's contract after this season.

    - Sloan is currently working as a basketball adviser for Jazz. He made it known several times before that he is available as a HC. Whenever there was need for a new HC, Sloan was part of rumor but never once had any team actually interviewed him.

    He's so old. Teams don't really want to hire a guy who can give them 3 years if he's lucky.

    That said, setting aside who Jerry Sloan is, he'd be a perfect fit for the Rockets. 3 year window is perfect timeframe for us and it would also expose Finch to another coaching style if he is really the eventual heir apparent for Morey.

    Sloan's style would fit this team perfectly as well.

    But, you can't set aside that Jerry Sloan is well, Jerry Sloan.

    There might be a reason why teams aren't really interested in Sloan. I know he is a recovering alcoholic. I am just stating the status on Sloan and personally, I wouldn't want Sloan as our coach. There are a few coaches I preferred and one was hired by Hawks already.

    My understanding is that McHale chooses only one. The rest are Morey's. And people seem to think that JVG, SVG, Sloan, Karl etc. could bury their egos deep enough to accept that restriction. LOL

    we should let it play out. if we win the trophy, then mchale is the guy.

    phil jackson would cost NASA and a hot sister from daryl or Alexander. yeah not going to happen.

    It was a poor choice of topics. It has been repeatedly hashed and rehashed. The sentiment among the more "experienced" CF members is that McHale is doing a fine job.

    1. No proper research.

    2. misinformation
    - Almost zero chance Adelman will come back for as long as Les is the owner and Morey is the GM.
    - Sloan is NOT retired.
    - McHale's contract is NOT up for renew. It's team option next year.

    3. Timing is bad to discuss about something that should be done for the next offseason.
